Description
Galactus' very first Herald, very little is known about the Fallen One's past. Unlike future Heralds who were empowered with the Power Cosmic, the Fallen One is powered by dark matter giving him all of the same abilities as later Heralds but with a limitless power source. His cruel, sadistic and violent nature eventually grew too much for Galactus, who cast the Fallen One out and began to search for a new Herald. Resentful and enraged, the Fallen One would repeatedly attack his former master only to be defeated each time. It was the hero Star-Lord who eventually put a more permanent end to the Fallen One, defeating him and having him imprisoned in the Klyn, an intergalactic prison designed to hold the most powerful and dangerous offenders. When the Klyn was damaged in an attack however, the Fallen One escaped and immediately set out to resume his vendetta with Galactus. Thanos the Mad Titan intervened however, tricking the Fallen One into detonating a star during their battle. The resulting explosion left the Fallen One unconscious and Thanos used the opportunity to alter his enemy's mind, brainwashing the Fallen One to serve as his own Herald and enforcer. This arrangement would not last long however, as during the Annihilation Wave the Fallen One would be attacked and killed by a pair of Galactus' oldest enemies, the Proemial Gods Tenebrous and Aegis.
