Description
Isaac Christians was mayor and descendant of the founding family of Christiansboro when the small rural town began to fall on hard times. With the town's prospects dwindling, a desperate Christians turned to the occult, bargaining his soul to a demon in exchange for the town's prosperity. In order to better serve his new master's needs, Isaac's spirit was transferred from his elderly human form into a monstrous and powerful Gargoyle body and he was sent to capture the Defender Hellcat. Isaac battled with the Defenders, but refused to kill any of them. Outraged, the demon broke their deal and abandoned Christians in his new gargoyle body and left the town of Christiansboro to fall apart. Distraught over his failures, Christians would have fallen apart if Hellcat and the Defenders hadn't taken him in. Fighting alongside them as a hero, Christians found a new purpose in life and became good friends with Hellcat and her husband Daimon Hellstorm.
