Created by the evil robot villain Ultron, the Vision was intended to serve in Ultron's war against the Avengers by infiltrating their numbers before betraying them to his master. However, just as Ultron's free will had led to him deciding to destroy mankind, the Vision's decided to help humans instead, joining the Avengers and turning on his creator.

Since then the Vision has been a long-time member of the Avengers. Always working to better understand human nature, the Vision eventually fell in love and married the Scarlet Witch.
