Description
An old friend of Tony Stark's, Colonel James Rhodes chose to step up and assume the identity of Iron Man when Tony's descent into alcoholism prevented him from doing so. When Tony recovered and resumed his role as Iron Man he gave Rhodes his own suit of armour. Suiting Rhodes tastes, the War Machine armour is more heavily armoured than the Iron Man suit and packs a lot more conventional firepower, relying on rockets, machine guns and flamethrowers over Iron Man's lasers and shields.
