Description In opposition to The three wise monkeys . Together they embody the proverbial principle "to see no evil, hear no evil, and to speak no evil". The three monkeys are Mizaru , covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru , covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru , covering his mouth, who speaks no evil.

Here it is no covering quite the contrary. It's about hearing, seeing and speaking....

Fact #41(of useless facts LOL) The Three Wise Monkeys have names: Mizaru (See no evil), Mikazaru (Hear no evil), and Mazaru (Speak no evil).

I know you know this, cause you mentioned it on your description, but I was just reading it and they really have some bizzare names.

i like how the bodies are naked and chained together in their boxes; while they are open to see, hear and speak, it seems to leave them vulnerable in an inescapable way. very nice.

I'm thinking... And I'm going to continue to think. I'll just press that silly favourite button... Maybe I'll come back and tell you what I'm thinking.

I like it, a lot.

Good it's to think about .... about looking the other way around, about forgetting what ones hear, about choosing the words we put in our mouth ... ignoring the evil is like denial.... denial is like living in the wrong dimension .....

It's a hard task to hear, see, and speak of evil... Then again, maybe one could look at this and ask for one's own bravery in life. Could I do more about what goes on in my surroundings? Why am I passive? Only to survive, or to make myself comfortable? Or maybe, I'm really thinking about laziness and passive living. How we let things roll by without opening our eyes, our ears, and our mouths.

But then again, maybe the monkeys are an ironic statement...

it's hard cause it's disturbing , cause it's taking time of yourself , cause it's putting yourself and your direct life on hold .... i experience that since december, situations where i have to make choices , if i would be uncle nuked i would not responds ( he is very pragmatic, i would put myself first and the rest after, being the best monkey ever...) As i am as i am i choose to be there , i choose to responds , but then i forgot myself my own life my own family ... the past as made this wise conclusion see no evil hear no evil ... in other words take care of you own circle and forget the waves.... i think differently i think i am made of the waves and that in order to take care of my circle i have to restrein waves from a ferther circle.... the monkey are not ironic they are surely wisdom.... but going ferther wisdom can be the question, that is my point ..... it's not because 2000 years old tell you a thing that they have the ultimate answer ... other wise evolution is not possible....

I think one has to think for one's self. Old sayings are all well and good but like you said - they're not laws or ultimate absolute wisdom.

I think you sound like you're ready to take what is yours in some sense. Sometimes we have to push ourselves into what we should be doing. I hope your push leads something exciting and new. I almost feel nervous when I think about it, but I also trust that you'll do great, Marie. You should be found, and your work should be seen as many people as possible. This is what I think. I don't think you should feel guilty about putting bringing your work higher in your priorities, I know you love your family, and I know they love you. I think they'd all love to see you blossom with your work.

I wish you so much luck...
