Someone was wondering if the brothers could summon magic hands like Gaster , so of course this is the first place I went to. Seriously though, I think it's a skill you have to learn and Gaster never taught them how, haha.
On an unrelated note, I'm going on a trip tomorrow up until the New Year! So you won't hear too much from me while I'm gone. I'll probably put up something on Christmas and MAYBE I'll finish a Handplates page but I wouldn't count on it, haha. I'll see you all in January.

Well, My beloved stranger In a way I'm attempting to defend the person who's art I've been interested in since I was in sixth grade. (Yes I'm still considered to be a child, but please don't make a 9-year-old army joke..)
While I do think it's odd that I've never really seen Zarla actually respond to the people who comment to on their stuff....I don't think you have to call them a jerk, Zarla doesn't owe Their fans ANYTHING just because of the popularity they have.

This artist is a literal who on the internet and it doesn't bother you at all that they behave this way? You've been watching them since you were in 6th grade and they don't even know you exist. Either way, Zarla doesn’t NEED to answer questions! It’s not required to be an artist. I only answered the one comment I have because it’s the first. It doesn’t matter. They post their art and get attention, but they don’t want to reply to comments! It doesn’t matter. We like Zarla and that’s that. Don’t like them? Great! You don’t need to be here.

Lemme tell you an anecdote.
Ya see, back when I was considering working as an entertainer, it was people exactly like you who made me pause and put off posting my work online.
Engaging with one or two people for an extended period of time over a few days drains me to the point of non-functionality for weeks at a time. I'm not so good with my words every second of the day to communicate my thoughts. The idea of being recognized by a complete stranger makes me physically ill if I think too much about it. And keeping my mouth shut when I'm mildly annoyed is hard, so I like conversations to be done after they reach a conclusion, not dragged out over months or possibly years because people can't be bothered to look at a timestamp... or just because they refuse to attempt to understand that not every word I say is a hill I'm determined to die on.
So the more I thought about it, I thought "Maybe I can just not engage." I thought "Maybe, maybe I can put my work out there and let people enjoy it for what it is." I thought "Maybe people can just appreciate the work and not demand my full attention as if I want to communicate with a complete and utter stranger when all I want to do is make a story that strangers enjoy with me." And then I remembered people like you.
What I'm saying is, I'm not upset Zarla doesn't respond to people, because Z is doing exactly what I'd fucking love to do. But better. In fact, if you go to Zarla's tumblr, she responds to her fans plenty while keeping things expressly on topic with her artwork. And I don't want Zarla to know me. I don't want ANYONE to know me, because everyone is a complete stranger until I want to get to know them, not the other way around.
I guess what I'm saying is... people like you, who throw a fit because someone who drew a few pictures didn't nod at your post, kept me from making a huge mistake. There's a lot worse than you that entertainers have to face, and I can't deal with even that much. So, frankly, I respect Zarla for knowing her limits, because she shouldn't have to tell COMPLETE S-T-R-A-N-G-E-R-S why she can or can't respond to everything, because it's her prerogative to stick to what she knows she can handle.

It's understandable, but it's not like they HAVE to be connected with your fans 24/7 it can be really stressful to have to talk to so many people who think highly of you. There's this thing called expectations and that can probably overwhelm someone.

Also I haven't even summoned up the courage to make my own DA until earlier this year, so I'm not saying that I would have been noticed if I made one three years ago....but Zarla doesn't know me...they don't HAVE to know me.
If anything I think if they put in the time to make a thank you post for all the fan's support that's good enough.

What's with this 24/7 connecting with fans thing? I know most of you don't know what its like as we do but I know from firsthand experience it DOES NOT take that long to reply to comments. Especially short ones. Is a "thank you" really so hard? Alas, I've said my piece, if people want to continue to be treated like dirt by this artist so be it.
