Why is it a thing that fans make Sans blush blue instead of red though?
I mean...it's not like he ever blushes in the game...

I mean, Papyrus does, and it's totally normal red, so why would Sans' be blue?

Probably because Sans is characterized as blue and Papyrus as orange, and in general Sans is cool colors and Paps is warm colors. This fits their personalities n' stuff. I'm guessing that because of Sans' blue eye, and blue hoodie, and general blueness, they made him blush blue because it fit with a color palette. This is just fanon, though!

Well, his eye flickers blue AND yellow. And besides, other than that and that the SOUL turns blue, there isn't exactly anything else blue in his battle. Yes, he does wear blue clothes, but those are just clothes.
And if it's because he turns the SOUL blue, then shouldn't Papyrus also have blue blush marks? Well, he has red, so no, that's not it. That doesn't do it.

You can look up Papyrus blushing on Google pix and find his in-game blushing sprites.
One of them has red blush while the other one has pink blush.
So he has normal colored blush marks, at least.
