I stole this joke from Clarence (near the end of this ep ) but it was too perfect to resist.(Since this seems to be a bit confusing, it's a metaphorical hole that Gaster's digging himself into)

Is it just me or is this one of the best metaphors like ever? It's like Gaster doesn't know what he's doing anymore, so he just keeps digging himself deeper and deeper into the mess he's created, like it's the path of least resistance to just keep going down. Asgore and Alphys see that he's doing this to himself and are trying to understand, but Gaster doesn't even understand. He doesn't know what he's doing or how to fix any of this, so he just keeps digging himself deeper into this pit. Asgore and Alphys can't understand and yell for him to stop, but how can he? How can he just stop now, after everything that's happened? So he keeps digging. And he'll dig until something stops him, be it Asgore and Alphys, Sans and Papyrus, or even himself once he realizes there are other places to go than just deeper into the hole he's made for himself.
