i was about 1.5, but yes, she slapped me if i did something that hurt her, cause i needed to learn how doing one thing can hurt. i never bit anyone and by the age of 6 i punched her in the side, she slapped me to the floor in the store and i never punched her again.

Well, nibbling is a part of life.

I like how Papyrus keeps announcing his impending bites with a little "AAAH". It's almost like he wants to bite Gaster, but he wants Gaster to notice him biting and pay attention to him even more. That panel where he snuggles back against his dad after the first preempted bite is just too cute.
Given his Handplates version's history of biting new clothing, leaves, lanterns, etc., I'm not surprised to see that it's happening in Mercyplates, too. Sorry, Gaster, but this phase is probably gonna last a long time.
