Yeah, it's a great version of mercyplates, but it gets a hundred times sadder if you imagine he continues with the handplates project as originally planned, despite his emotion attachment to the boys. Every day he breaks his heart in for the good of the world. Every day he sees the children he loves suffer at his hand. One believes he can do better, despite all he's done to them. The other simply hates him, beyond all belief. Perhaps it would be easier if they both just hated him...

Me and my sister had a revelation the other day. We were listening to The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack (specifically Poor Jack), when my sister makes the comment, "Heh, what if Handplates Gaster was Jack?" We both just sat in silence, realizing how perfect that was. 😳
