Gaster could of said Sans was 1 when Papyrus was born and their mother died during childbirth and both of them were sick a lot when they were children and he hid them in his lab and took care of them until they stopped getting sick

Just say yes, that the brothers are twins, and that your "partner" died during childbirth, Gaster. And that the little babybones were so small and weak, you hid them away and tried to strengthen them. Admit to one or two "lab mishaps", bit that it was all done in a desperate attempt to save your sons.
