I actually prefer them as twins or close to it but I couldn't resist a few more baby Sanses. There's nothing in the game saying who's older after all (and Toby deleted the tweet before you bring it up).I wonder how baby bones eat, they can't really use a bottle or anything. Maybe a turkey baster?

I believe that Sans CAN open his mouth if he so pleases, but he's so lazy that he choses not to. Like, he doesn't see the point. Then, later on in life, he notices how curious people are about the detail & then he learns to manipulate his magic specifically so that he doesn't have to open his mouth. Maybe, he did have to open his mouth for food at one point, but he always waited for that one moment when everyone was looking away to do so, just so he could see their faces when they turned back around.
I imagine it sorta like with Kakashi & his mask really. He just likes messin' with people because it's funny.

sans's jaw doesn't have joints. it's one fused piece. so no, he probably can't open his mouth. but, he also has no reason or need to, since the bone stretches like lips and his biology means he just absorbs food through his teeth.
he can't eat human food of course, since that would require A) chewing and B) a stomach, but monster food works fine.
