This has been building for a while, it was bound to break eventually. Sans’s insecurities here are all things that have either been not-so-subtly implied to him (like here , here , here , here , or here ) or outright said to his face , and he’s also still haunted by how he was used to try and get Papyrus to kill something and how his most recent attempt to protect him ended in total failure . It wears on you. Papyrus has known about his "condition" since they were babybones but had no idea how deep his feelings about it ran.
(Way to not give him emotional issues , Gaster)
Papyrus has indeed had a scar on his neck since he had that neck brace . It may be hard to see at points but it’s there! He still has it in the future , even. And Sans did indeed tell Papyrus not to let Gaster get to him , haha. LOT OF BACKLINKS THIS ROUND
Sans is glowing a little bit of Papyrus's color there.

Geez man. It took me ten minutes to calm down and stop shaking. That one hit really close to home.
I usually try to reserve my comments for art where there aren't many comments (ie, it will be seen), or for art that really makes me feel a lot. It seems... that your art is pretty much always worth a comment on, for the latter reason.
Your dialogue is on point. The way Sans was talking felt so harsh and real, it's thoughts I've had many times myself. I'm not strong or fast at all, and for years I've taken pride in my intelligence. As time goes on though, it feels like I'm just not as smart as I once was. The frustration that Sans feels from not being able to take damage while Paps gets broken over and over... sitting there with that big brain of his and no way to use it, hurts. I feel that. He feels useless in a fight (like I do), and frankly, Gaster seems to want to break him by pointing this out as often as he can. The way that Papyrus reassures him and grounds him again is sweet and unforced. You seem to find just the right words to say. I wish someone would say those words to me.
And the art...
Sans's wobbly smile, the eyesocket shapes, the shaking, it says a lot more than any dialogue ever could. The movements and postures are smooth; I can see it play out in my mind like a movie, not disjointed at all. There are no 'scenes' missing (especially frame 9-23, the action flows nicely). It's funny, I can 'hear' rythmear's voice dubbing the two of them. The more I look for details, the more I find, like the small screws poking out of Pap's palm when Sans knocks his hand away. Or the way that the paper/cloth gowns move (is it cloth? I thought that by now paper would rip).
Two things confuse me however. Why can't we see the force field in frame 18? Shouldn't it be there? And why is Sans reflecting some of Papyrus's glow when he reassures Sans? It looks pretty red, kinda reminds me of the pain that Gaster was in when he cut his hands. Perhaps emotional pain/suffering? I dunno. You're the ringmaster here. Does Gaster ever hear their conversations?
If only he knew what was coming, huh? I really feel for him. Dark times ahead...

As for the forcefield, it's only visible when you're close to it, like the ones in Hotland. And the two of them can glow each other's colors if it matches how they feel. I'm leaning towards bravery for orange, so Sans is feeling a bit of bravery coming from what he's saying. |D It looks more reddish though next to the blue...
