Yes... also I got HL1 and all the expansions including cs 1.6, dod, tfc etc form entering in a CD key from a retail copy of Counter-Strike, so if you have a Retail HL1 Copy or just about any valve goldsource reatil game, you can get HL: BS and OPFOR for free

Both are very good side stories and I *thought* they were on steam yes... and/or came with some copies of HL2...? but its been awhile since I checked.

Yes. that is explained at the end of OPFO. GMan states that he has to put him in stasis so he 'can do no harm, and no harm can come to' him. So its possible that either, shepard is doing other missions elsewhere while gordon is fighting in city 17, or he is going to appear and help gordon at some point, or he is just going to be left there perminanatly. Either way, GMan put him in stasis just like he did with gordon, and thats where he probably currently is.

I just have a bad feeling Valve will forget about him and leave him out of Half Life 2. Which sucks, because so far we've only had games from Gordons perspective and none like Blue Shift and OpFor which put a twist on things.

Well to be fair, HL was meant to be all about gordon. The side games were just that, in reality. Side games meant to tell the same story from different perspectives. We likely wont get that same thing again, but we might have some hope of seeing shepard in a future game. just have to hope really really hard, cause if you believe in something hard enough, it becomes slightly less fake.

It would~ not likely to happen but it would certainly be cool. Maybe someone could make an indie game/movie/animation about that. or even a novel series. Its not like Halo series doesnt have enough novelisation. Valve should get some too.
