One way of putting it I suppose.
This one isn't directly connected to anything, but it'd fall at least after the whole eye business , and becomes rather poignant after Sans learns to heal . As always you can get a better sense of where it is chronologically by looking at it in the index .
This is probably the most civil these two have been to each other so far. The next couple may be more Sans-focused since he hasn't had much to do in this whole shebang just yet, haha.
I totally would have called this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if dev allowed it.

I wanted to make it more consistent with the brothers' pixel fonts. It's the same font, just not anti-aliased.

That's...that's not how cloning works, it especially doesn't make since because Sans and Papyrus are both made fromm a chunk of his hands that are the same size and yet Paps it larger and physically tougher while Sans is smaller and more frail.

More went into them than just magical material.

One of the samples could have been damaged causing it to become deformed and unstable/week.
On the other "HAND"
this could just be a fan fick and we don't have to take it so seriously and just let the author have there fun playing with our emotions.

If anything, Papyrus looks more frail than Sans. Sans is short and heavyset, while Papyrus is tall and lightweight; so they could be the same, but have opposite composure.

But Sans'll die in 1 hit while Paps can take quite a few if he's got his defenses up. In fact Gaster uses Sans extreme frailty to coerce Papyrus into killing something because he knew Paps would tough out any punishment he'd inflict on himself.

Well the fact that Gaster broke Sans's eye could contribute to his weakness. Their eyes seem to be their source of power, so a broken one would impede the use of that power.

He stated that Sans was more frail than he expected and that contributed to the experiment failing as badly. But as another commenter said, Sans sample could have been damaged and caused him to become the physically inferior twin, and this is a fanfic so we might as well not over think it.

dame Gaster basically telling him he is just a fragment of a whole being, that sad look on Sans's face in the last panel is heartbreaking, now he knows he will always be like this

I have a question... I noticed that lately, Gaster is speaking in a mixture of upper- and lower-case, even though at the beginning he was a self-proclaimed upper-case (as also indicated by his wingdings in the game). Is... this on purpose? Is he becoming more subdued, less confident? Or is it just reflexively "correct" typing?

He's actually always speaking in caps, and the Wingdings behind his words are subsequently always in caps. I subtitle him in propercase though to make him easier to read and distinguish him from the brothers, and it also makes him a nice midpoint between them that I like. But those are just the subtitles so to speak, in reality he's always speaking in caps.

He actually lets Sans get away with a surprising amount of sassmouth, haha. It doesn't particularly bother him as long as he follows directions in the end.
