I saw a program where some people did this test with crows, though with bread and cheese instead of candy.
The crow was given a piece of bread in its beak, then presented to it was a piece of cheese.
The crow liked bread but loved cheese, so instead of eating the bread it kept it in its beak for a period of time until the person gave the cheese, trading it for the bread.
The crow did not care for grapes however, so when they gave it another piece of bread and presented a grape to it, it ate the bread right away.
At the same time they showed a video of some young kids (5-8 years I think) taking the test too, but with chocolate bits.
One of the kids ended up putting the chocolate in the mouth, then taking it out again, just tasting the treat XD It was so cute! <3
The majority ended up getting two chocolates, I don't remember if any of them gave in to the temptation though.
It was a program about bird intelligence, starring crows, parrots and...I'm not sure if there was a third bird involved, nor what kind it was, but it was an interesting program.
