Might come in handy, who knows.
Man it's been a while, huh? The moment Sans is not-remembering would probably fall somewhere between the discussion he had with Gaster about bravery and when Gaster gave him a blaster .

I like how you planted the idea of Sans thinking that just waiting for a human's turn to be done is dumb, since half his fight involves him attacking during the human's turn and then trying to exploit that by prolonging his turn as a last ditch effort. Very nice!

You know right here even though Gaster was quite abusive and cruel to the skeleton brothers he was their father after all and I can kind of see that here.

I'm sorry, I just want to say how much I love your expressions. The feeling you get from them is freaking amazing, and it's no wonder this is such a popular comic. It's so well done, the art is beautiful, and the story is just amazing. A clap and a half to you Zarla, a clap and a half to you.

I tried writing a fanfiction with that in mind once when I was about...I think I was...16? 17? at the time. In paired team-fights or one-on-one, (or two on one, whatever) the opponents would stand at Civil War musketeer distance jeer one another based on how they attacked or defended (in one case a mage threw a heavy spell book as a weapon, which fell down halfway to his target (and was mocked for it) and he had to step forward and retrieve it. It had comedic value, but on mass-scale trying to describe made it seem incredibly boring.
But if you'd like a video game example of this, check out a few of the Fire Emblem games or Final Fantasy Tactics (though the latter's closer to skirmishes than an actual war setting). I've only played one of them each (Path of Radiance for the Gamecube, and the first Tactics game), and the hardest fight POR pitted about ten of your guys against close to fifty or more over the course of three stages in a forest. The final battle might have been more challenging if they'd not given you so many over-powered people from the other armies.
My favorite battles had to be the one from near the start in a crumbling fort, and the battle on the two ships.

Trust me, no you wouldn't. At the time when I was writing it, it was fun to do so, but looking back on it after the more recent things I've written and posted on other sites (and read things others have written), it's absolute garbage. Somewhat over-powered main role (his family had a ability similar to the blue mage from Final Fantasy six. When he'd touch someone that had a trait unique to their species, he'd copy that ability, such as growing wings of one type or another, or gills, or being abnormally strong, or instinctively controlling elements of nature. But he'd only keep it until he touched someone with a different ability, at which point he'd lose the previous one, and take on the new one. This would keep happening until he reached adulthood, at which point any abilities he'd copied over the years he'd be able to access with spells, but would be unable to acquire additional ones spell types). I called his kind Chaotic Mages. After reaching adulthood they could still copy abilities, but couldn't add to their possible arsenal of magic at that point. There was also a shoddily-written romantic subplot (which at the time was a bit of wish-fulfillment, as I had a crush on that particular female character back then), a massive war in which Earth's humanity faced annihilation by a demon army (and was gradually being wiped out as time went by, which was where the larger turn-based-fights took place), with a planned twist ending that basically declared everything he saw and experienced to be something between a vision and an elaborate hallucination created to warn him away from thinking he knew better than the story writer of the game he was playing to get a Happy Ending. Sort of a "be careful what you wish for because you just might get it, and look at the disaster it caused!" kind of thing.
It was based on and around Riviera: The Promised Land for GBA (I think it was also for PS2, but I'm not sure on that). If you've never played it, then you wouldn't have understood some parts.
It also crossed over with another story I'd written a few years before THAT involving an organization of what I referred to as 'Background Heroes' in terms of purpose. While the main stars of video games, books, cartoons, etc (it followed the idea that ALL forms of entertainment involving fictional universes of 3 or more installments were ACTUAL worlds) engaged and defeated the Main Bad Guy, the World Walkers (hence my username. First fanfiction I ever started writing, period) would deal with civilian evacuation, battle MBG's minions to buy time for the heroes to triumph, act as spies or helpful "NPCs" as WE know them to help the "Chosen" get to their destinations, and could hop from world to world fairly easily using advanced technology rather than magic. Most of the later fics I'd write had Easter Egg references to earlier works in them.
Had a lot of fun ideas, but due to lack of experience which caused poor execution it was ultimately a failed project. Maybe I'll go back on it and re-write it some day, but I doubt it.

As long as you are good at dodging, you will be just fine, and maybe even able to defeat your opponent. This is what I've actually learned, in games like dodgeball and such. I'm very good at dodging, but bad as hell with aiming balls, and the same thing will probably be with guns.

Well, if I were strong human, I will be probably be merciful to monsters and humans, and I will kill them if they were real threat to someone or if it is genocidical. But mainly I will be merciful, and if I were capturing genocidical human or monster, I will not kill it. I will simply block by anything, so they are not able to move.

mincpower In reply to LavenderShift [2017-12-18 12:05:34 +0000 UTC]
But wouldn't it be harsh to not be able to move? They could...litteraly not do ANYTHING. How would you like it if you were turned to stone (for example) and still be aware of yourself? Is THAT your idea of mercy? Killing them would be more merciful.

hey,
i am maybe stupid, but blame my pacifism.
i don't really want to hurt anyone, if i behave normally.
even i am angry/mad, i don't want to hurt badly anyone.
what if killing someone would lead to the problem? what if the
"criminal's" family would get mad and kill you? well, you have to fight tho and kill them,
but what if the "criminal" would be blocked temporarily and then sent to jail.
and then, what if "criminal" stole only just a diamond for ex.? you don't have to kill it, right?
no hate.

mincpower In reply to LavenderShift [2017-12-31 17:40:11 +0000 UTC]
Hey there, I completely respect your opinion, and you got a very good point right there.
I have never hurt anyone (badly) in my life (I think?).
And true, if they stole something, even a diamond, they shouldn't be killed.
But you have to understand, not moving is a bad form of torture (what if your nose gets itchy? :V).
It depends on the crime they commited. The "blocking them from doing anything that could harm society" sounds good.
