You may meet a human who takes out their cell phone and calls a friend in the middle of battle. This is perfectly normal. Just wait for them to finish; they'll never learn anything particularly dangerous, nor will they attack you mid-call to catch you by surprise. Humans are infamously bad at multi-tasking when it comes to fighting monsters.
Of course, instead of waiting, you could be smart and attack THEM mid-call.
