Description
A one-shot before we hit the next major arc. Some of you have wondered how the brothers' battling abilities have been going, particularly Sans. They've still been practicing! Papyrus in particular is practicing the one blue/one white attack the two of them share. At the end of Papyrus's version, one pair of bones goes at you about as fast as Sans's, so Papyrus COULD go that fast if he wanted to, but doesn't.
The line Sans is referencing is back from when he passed out for those few days . His philosophy about doing your best attack first shows up somewhere else though...

Such a nice relationship that they have. They can argue but in a constructive way which isn't seen a lot in most types of relationships, even sibling ones.

The 'you' part looks a bit glitchy, is it a reference to his character developing where it shouldn't?
For instance, if Papyrus would become ruthless in his attacks, the human would not bale to fight them and survive. Thus he is stuck being kind no matter what so that the human would survive his battles.

It just looks glitched because it's italicized for emphasis. I.e., "Sans, you have to prove it to YOURSELF."

It's often speculated that Sans makes up for his naturally weak stats by using odd tricks. For one, he's the only official monster known to dodge, making his low durability less of a problem. You'll also find that during the fight with him, there's a small KR next to the health bar which many have speculated refers to karma. This could mean that the more horrible his opponent is, the more powerful his attacks become. He also seems to get around the issue of low attack by skipping invulnerability frames, and dishing out tons of hits for one damage each.
In short, he got around his weaknesses by getting creative. Where Undyne has raw power and durability, Sans has imagination and quirkiness.

Yeah, it's a completely different experience from every other fight in the game. Heck, I even forgot about the part where he'll attack you during your turn. About halfway through the fight, bones will start prodding at parts of the menu.
