Hey, remember way back when when I said something was afoot in the Core ?
jazaaboo designed the monster that falls, it's called a Pterofractl! |D It loves math and "inventing" and "solving" math problems, but actually knows nothing about even basic math and generally has no idea what it's doing most of the time. It’s a poor flier because it always gets too caught up in 'calculating' flight vectors and angles and parabolas and such, thus why it didn’t fly itself to safety.
I was originally going to use the mole in the hardhat from the Mettaton Hotel, but when I went and checked it was completely wrong for what I had in mind, so instead I used a really obscure cameo from an old Sierra game I’m willing to bet nobody has played, haha. If any of you recognize him I'll be very surprised.

And so, the great mouse worker systematically planted banana peels around the CORE for G's demise.
Now here's a question: what differentiates between being completely wiped from the timeline (as poor Pterofractl was) and being mostly/partially wiped from the timeline (like the followers and G), Magic composition/levels, perhaps? Or the influence on the CORE? Or maybe there's a more... determining factor.

That makes sense. I do have a few questions
Why does his name disappear when the monster dies? Did someone erase it or was it removed with magic? The paper does look like you can erase stuff from it but it'll leave a smudge and looked as if someone had written on as most papers do. But the fact that it's so clean, makes me lean more towards Magic. It would also make more sense but, why go to such lengths?
I do wonder, what's his motive behind all of this? What benefits would he get out of this?
I suppose we shall see.

I don't think Gaster knows, not at least all of it yet. I feel he suspects something but it has not quite clicked.
It is hard to put a puzzle together when you keep forgetting about missing pieces.

I don't think it's being erased at all... at least not in that respect. It's probably that when something falls into the core not only does it die but completely ceases to exist. Once the monster fell in, it never existed in time. Although perhaps they can weakly exist in memories leading to the lost gaster-y head that this creature also has and that gaster is somewhat remembered but not his face.

I cracked up at Gaster's "Excuse me, that feature keeps the entire concept in line with traditional puzzle principles". Really made me laugh for some reason. Like, Gaster is a scientist and yet he's still concerned with making sure the Core is an obnoxious puzzle. Pterofractl made me laugh too! I was able to figure out its name during the comic just by what it looks like. Definitely seems like the kind of joke-monster that might be in game.
