that's a funny coincidence i was wanting to draw this character in anime form and was going to give them weapons and that is exactly what i was going to give mario (i.e. the giant wrench)

And thats what counts, I mean haven't seen any other Mario fan arts like yours.. Stunning, I also love the smooth quality of the background, you got a very nice effect there... contest as well...and i got to tell you, yours is the coolest one
of all. besides saying it numerous of times, your technique for
the sharpness of the lines, and your own art style of him, add
up to a stylish piece. plus the bold character design, especially
that huge ass wrench, makes it overall badass too!
