Charmed Light is an upbeat, kind person. He isn't easily brought down by failure, which comes in handy since he fails quite often. His specialty is making charms, but he has a tendency to forget ingredients or important lines. This results in the charms either working too well or backfiring entirely. As a result, he has gained the skepticism (and occasional scorn) of many, but his determination to improve keeps people from avoiding him entirely. When he is not making charms, he studies magic with his grandmother, the previous shaman of the Equa tribe, or pays his respects to the gods. He is always willing to lend a hand to those in need, even if his help isn't necessarily wanted.

History:
Born in a cold, harsh winter, Charmed Light was always destined to join in the priest practice, as many generations of his family had done before. As a child, he found the repetitive task of cleaning the holy grounds dull, and often wandered off to play with other children. This earned him many, many punishments. Despite his parents' best efforts, the constant punishments didn't seem to deter him from loafing off. At the time, his grandmother was the shaman of the tribe. When regular punishments didn't seem to set him straight, his parents sent him to live with his no-nonsense grandmother.

He had always admired his grandmother and her mystical air. It always felt as if she could read his mind, because he would get whacked with her sturdy stick whenever he so much as thought about slipping away from her side. Though he initially felt resentful that she kept him from playing with the other children, he found her magic both fearsome and awe-inspiring. Stern though she was, he admired her devotion and wisdom. After living with his grandmother for a year, he came back to his parents a changed child. No longer did he slack off in his duties before running off to play.

Impressed with his change, when he came of age, Charmed Light was sent to start an apprenticeship with his grandmother. Though he was her grandson, she showed him no mercy during his apprenticeship. The long winded lectures got longer, and the smacks became sharper. When he turned 15, she decided to set him on the path of magic. He experimented with many different forms, but he found that the kind he liked most were the charms. He found it beneficial to everyone in the tribe and began making charms in bulk.

Now, as an adult, Charmed Light still maintains the holy grounds with his parents and makes a living making charms for humble prices.

Trivia:

He has a flat spot on the back of his head from all the times he's been hit with his grandmother's stick.

He tries to add lavender to all of his charms, even if the recipe doesn't call for it. It only occasionally leads to disaster.

His stick is from a Cheri berry tree, and the flame that it emits gives off a faint cherry scent.
