I do not own Transformers or the Autobots. Thank goodness--look what might happen if I did! They are owned and copyright by Hasbro.

I'm about to go on a slightly amusing rant about how this idea was born. Before I do, I'd just like to say, no, I'm not crazy, though I do hear voices in my head occasionally. It's just something that happens to writers sometimes.

I was working on a new addition of my comic Prowl turned human. It's annoying because when I scan in an inked black and white drawing, the pixels pick up all sorts of tiny microscopic dots, so I have to colour it in on Microsoft Paint bit by tiny bit. I suppose I could use pencil crayons, but then it wouldn't have the clean shiny effect I was going for... :sigh:

Anyway, Sunstreaker is particularly hard to colour because he's just so much yellow! And I feel like he's criticizing my ability to colour him.

"What, you're not done my glorious self yet? Ooh, you made an error there. You know, I don't make these kinds of mistakes. Careful, human, I must be perfect!"

Oh, and I mustn't call him yellow.

"It's GOLDEN human, GOLDEN. Not YELLOW. Bumblebee is yellow. I am golden."

So I'm getting kind of fed up with all the imaginary criticism. Then I noticed that the shaded part of him was kind of... mustardy. ( Shh, don't tell him I said that). And with him standing beside his brother, it was like...
KETCHUP AND MUSTARD!

And I thought...oh great, they're the condiment brothers.

Then this BRILLIANT idea kind of exploded into my head. You know how Prime is the main leader of the Autobots, and all the rest help him out, so they're kind of 'condiments' too.

The next ones I immediately thought of were Prowl and Jazz, the two black and whites. SALT AND PEPPER my brain screamed.

And then Jazz threw in that wise crack about 'seasoned officers.' It was perfect. Prowl is not happy to be used in this illustration. But come on Prowl, it suits you. You're the one who preserves the sanity around the base, and in small ways, you bring out the flavour of others around you.

Though I myself am not a big fan of pepper, I hear that you just HAVE to have it to make things taste good. Jazz is like that. I tried to make the "P" in the pepper look like his 4, and the "S" look like Prowl's chevron. Don't know if I succeeded.

And since Jazz made a comment, the others had to comment too. Sunstreaker started to complain, of course.

Then yellow made me think of Bumblebee, and I had a moment's thought of: I wonder what he'd be, and a DUH moment. Honey, of course.

Bee isn't really amused. He takes it good naturedly of course, but I think he gets somewhat tired of these jokes. Sunstreaker, compared to Bee, you have nothing to complain about.

I roughly assumed Sideswipe being ketchup would be great for pranks.

"Fake blood hee hee hee."

Uh oh, what did I start now?

The rest I included worked with my punny sense of humor.

Mirage--mystery sauce. He doesn't really understand the concept of my joke. Probably because it's too obvious.

Hound--relish. He's green. We had to have relish, 'cmon we aleady had ketchup and mustard.

Then I was thinking OK, so what other autobots do I know? Hmmm...Inferno! Oh duh, he'd be the hot sauce. Apparently he's greatly amused by this.

"Oh yeah, I am HOT STUFF and you know it!"

Sooo yeah. A little bit of nonsense.

Can anyone else out there think of what the other Autobots would be? This is as far as my brain went.
