I actually made some beautiful hand drawn pencil sketches last year to figure out what the characters would look like from different angles, but never had time to post them. I'm redrawing them on Microsoft Paint. Really wish I had a drawing tablet -- this alone took me 4 1/2 hours. But it's worth it now, because I can experiment with colours of clothing. In most animations, the characters will have one signature look and never change their clothes. A few shows, like Gravity Falls, go the extra mile and give their characters a wardrobe. I'm wondering if I can do the same, but keep the silhouettes nearly identical, so as to give my characters a bit more variety.

Ruby is absolutey convinced you'd like to see her pictures first. I recently showed the designs to a friend and asked said friend to guess the characters' personalities. She said "This is the pretty girl who everyone thinks is dumb, but she's really very smart. She just explains things in her own way." Interesting idea.

What do you think? Without knowing her story, what kind of personality do you think Ruby has?
