Description
Despite the looks of this drawing, this isn't meant to be hate-art of Zootopia Although I am not a person that is not very fond of that movie myself, this is actually based on real ecological issues. Some nature loving people may have already figured out what this is about but for those that didn't, in Australia red foxes and european rabbits, among other creatures, are invasive species that damage the local ecosystems in serious ways.
European rabbits were introduced in 1857 by europeans for sport hunting but they multiplied by the millions in a few years while red foxes were introduced in 1888 for the same recreative purposes.
Rabbits eat the native plantlife and in the process they create erosion in the soil, causing ditches and the soil to be more weak. They also eat farmer's crops and they transmit diseases to the local wildlife. In the 1950s the myxoma virus, which causes myxomatosis (which is a deadly disease that affects rabbits) was released to control the population but the survivors adapted and got inmune to it.
Foxes, on their hand, prey on local animals such as possums, wallabies, echidnas, wallaroos, and even endangered species like blue penguins and koalas and, like the rabbits, transmit viruses and diseases like mange, rabies, etc. They even prey on the local livestock, preying on sheep and lambs and even take on pets like cats and small dogs.
Both animals are very destructive species that are threatening Australia's nature balance and cost farmers millions of dollars each year due to livestock predation and crop feeding. Several methods are being used in order to control their populations like culling, poisoning, trapping, hunting and even letting dingos, which is an animal that's considered by some to be invasive as well, to prey on the populations since studies have shown that in areas where dingos are present the fox and rabbit populations are very low since dingos prey on foxes and rabbits.
I know I could have chosen a more subtle way or something to send this message across but I rather chose to do this kind of satire because Zootopia is well known for its anti-racism messages and since the protagonists are an european rabbit and a red fox I thought it's ironic that in Australia red foxes and european rabbits are nothing but ecological pests that are doing real damage to the local nature there.
Zootopia belongs to Disney.

I am so on board with this! I think you did a really clever meme to show how these species are not good for Australia at all! ...And I love Zootopia! But this makes a good point. You make really good memes that are smart, funny, and give good information. Good job!🖒👏

Huh, very clever! I got the message immediately without reading the journal (there's the environmentalist in me). As much as I adore rabbits and foxes, introducing a non-native species often means that the native species' days are numbered. I wish I could have seen a Thylacine (Tasmanian wolf) but what with hunting laws and the introduction of wild dogs, that species went extinct. It's not bigoted, Judy Hops. We all have to share the planet and sometimes that means staying on our own turf.
Are Koalas endangered now? Yikes.

I may not be a fan of Zootopia, I've used to be kind of a fan (that actually was during the time I was a furry), but not anymore. But I understand that you hate Zootopia, so this seems rather interesting to see what if Judy and Nick went to Australia.
I am also aware that Rabbits and Foxes cause a lot of trouble in Australia's ecosystem, though some other non-native animals such as Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, etc. in Australian zoos at least don't cause trouble due to being in these zoos.

I can relate so much to Judy on a personal level... don't ask...and I thought you hated that movie so much that you would never draw it. :/

Well, I wouldn't call this "hate art" or anything like it but this is actually a PSA-ish... I think... about the ecological problems Australia has with foxes and rabbits. Haven't you read the long-ass description about it?

The thing is that red foxes and rabbits ARE a big problem to Australia and its ecology, so sorry if it may seem xenophobic but the true intention was to send a message across.
