Alright so i've been thinking of making a redesign of Patrick, one of the creatures I made for my friend RickWhitetiger 's project The Isles of Billy.

Now, Patrick's old design was based heavily on peccaries, entelodonts, deer and other things but the overly complex patterning and my lack of anatomy knowledge at the time made the original design not hold up very well in my opinion. I now based his new design more on tapirs but also keeping that peccary touch in there. I also gotta say that Patrick went through a lot more changes in design than Bob since I got rid of the back stripes, the black markings on the second pair of legs which I put on the front legs, reduced the protuberances on the side of the head and snout, got rid of the deer antlers and instead gave him pronghorn-eland type horns, a brazilian tapir mane, reduced the ear tufts and changed the colors of the ears and reduced the number of head protuberances up to one, among other changes (here's the og design if you wanna compare: www.deviantart.com/zebg/art/Pa… )

There are also now female Patricks (named Patricias) which are smaller, have reduced snout protuberances, a duller orange coloration on the ears, no ear tufts and mane and smaller horns and there's now Patricklets which until adolescence don't start using their second pair of legs and until then are just left hanging there. Oh and they are the cutest thing you'll ever find on your whole dang lifespan.

Also worth note that Patrick is now his own genus: Hexayassus. He used to share the genus Hexasus with Bob but now they're just close relatives. As for their behaviour, they haven't changed much from being the adaptable opportunistic mud wallowing tapir sized peccary things that they are other than they're now much more brutal when they need to be. For starters in rutting season, which is between October and December, the males will try to intimidate each other by snapping their jaws but if intimidation fails (and it often does) the fighting will proceed in three parts: First the males will begin by pushing each other with their head protuberances, then they'll clash their horns together and if things escalate pretty bad then the males will stab each other with their tusks until someone backs down or gets killed. Secondy since they're based peccaries they will chase you up a tree, stay there and wait until you come down. And if it weren't enough, if you disturb the wrong herd then they'll come at you, grab you by the arms and legs and throw you around like a ragdoll until one or more of your limbs is torned apart! So yeah, Patricks now can get pretty brutal and aggresive and although generally they're pretty nice and gentle when left alone if you do disturb them they will show you their wild side (which should'nt be surprising since this is a Billynian creature we are talking about and 75% of the Billynian fauna are savage killing machines).
