Description
Full view is 2960 x 2080, just a heads up.Anyway, first Deviation; technically the latest one I've done - I'm going to backdate and add some more.
Mixture of several ideas that came together I think quite well. Mostly done with simple brushes, the artillery barrels were done with vectors (I don't do straight lines!) and the fighters were...ahem...one fighter cloned a dozen or so times...
What's going on - well it's Darth Revan ordering the barrage of enemy positions by Republic ground forces with air support. I guess. Yes, that's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic stuff in case you're confused.
Comments welcome!

Revan, with the curved lightsaber, on the battlefield. With tanks!
Coolness.

If there's one thing they needed in KotOR, it's the ability to customize your lightsaber. Or a curved lightsaber. That'd be so LEGIT.

I liked the system in KotOR where you could customise your blade colour as and when you found appropriate crystals, but yeah, being able to customise the hilts would have only been even better. I hope/assume they'll allow this in The Old Republic.

I want KotOR 3 but they cancelled it.

Agreed
Apparently Drew Karpyshyn is going to release a novel to actually tie up the loose ends, either before or after The Old Republic comes out. I suppose we couldn't expect a better person for the job really, but still, the problem with having a novel telling everyone what happens to their Revans and Exiles is that to me goes against the spirit of the games to begin with and I just fear about 9/10 fans will just go "Yeah...but that's not my Revan/Exile..."
Actually, yeah, if there is to be no KotOR 3, I think it nicer their fates are left to our imaginations. I think that's the only way people will be happy with the ending - because it will still be theirs.
I guess.

No offense but that sounded kinda corny. Anyways, I think you're right but I'd like to see a game where there are more then just two endings to the story. Hell, maybe even become a gray jedi... that's besides the point. The reason I would say "That's not my Revan/Exile..." is mostly because my Revan was fucking bi-polar in the force. ONE TIME HE'S BAD THE OTHER TIME HE'S GOOD AND MOST OF THE TIME HE'S IN THE MIDDLE.

ZedderZulu In reply to xXxDarknesSxX [2011-09-08 23:54:55 +0000 UTC]
Corny's what I do.
But that's just it though, everyone's playing experience will have been different - everyone's Revan and Exile will be different - lots of people don't even have them as the "correct" bloody gender! I don't see how an "official" wrap-up to their storylines is going to appeal to many fans of the game. I might be completely wrong though...
Though I was looking at your post and thinking that perhaps BioWare have learnt from KotOR insomuch as I saw your description of your Revan and thought "ah, paragade".
My Revan was a grey as well
I'm not sure what they're called in Star Wars though, if they're not Grey Jedi, except my Revan really wasn't much of a Jedi by the end of the game...

Paragade's are awesome.
I can never bring myself to kill Bastila by the end of the game or... anyone for that matter. I just feel so bad. So normally it ends up with them being stuck on that island if I go dark side.
Man, they should let the Revan saga keep going by it's own pace. Or just never complete it so the fans may keep our own endings, as you said.

love it!!
I fuckin' love KoTOR, properly got inyo the expanded universe for too, very impressed, and then they go and ruin it by making KoTOR III an MMORPG...fucking hate those yokes...

I hate to admit it but I doubt I'll go for the new game either - I don't usually do MMORPGs - costs and commitments put me off for one. While the whole Really Old Republic era is still going to be very cool I'm now sort of hoping that they don't specifically focus on Revan and/or the Exile's story now - well, especially as it's set several centuries later, but anyway...

bMurfy In reply to ZedderZulu [2009-03-07 20:38:12 +0000 UTC]
well the main aspect of the game as far as i know is jedi v sith so i'm gonna guess that revan and/or exile found the 'true sith' in the unknown regions!

ZedderZulu In reply to bMurfy [2009-04-10 00:40:40 +0000 UTC]
Ah, I don't know anymore. Problem for me is that I got so embroiled in creating my own little version of the KOTOR universe that I almost don't want it getting resolved and finding out I was completely wrong. I actually see Revan as technically a "true" Sith - i.e. one who advocates an evolution through survival of the fittest - while the Jedi are just sat in stagnation and are in need of renewal. Revan did what Revan did because of a genuine ideological belief. Malak however was just a power-grabbing sookha. Of course, this means I have *no* idea what Revan found in the unknown regions

Well I always choose the white black-haired male. So if only the one you put there had black hair and a second (purple) lightsaber he would look just like mine.^^

Technically speaking my Revan uses two sabres as well - usually my Revan's female though

OMG it's huge.
But rightly so, because that way you can see the beautiful details on Revan, especially the hair flying back from behind the mask. Seeing as hair is a rather personal, human thing (if you know what I mean ), it gives me a feeling of knowing Revan as a person, rather than as a robot behind black armour.
I also love the overall feel of this painting; I can feel the action and the passion and adrenaline. I love this piece. ^^
