Description after installing a second version of DAZ i've angaged to get Dynamic clothes working... i LOVE them!
it's so much fun to play with them the only problem seems to be that when i'm connected to the net, they don't work... and opening the file crashes and kills the programme... how irritating... BUG REPORT!

Please make a tutorial about how you did this! I still can't get it to work after screwing with it for months.

what's giving you the trouble? the dress itself?

Yeah, I have a dynamic dress and a Victoria model, and I don't really know how to proceed from there.

If I conform the dress to the model, it ignores the belly and boob d-formers and just acts like the d-formed parts aren't there after I hit the Drape button. If I don't conform it, it just falls on the floor in a pile when I hit Drape.

here's the pain:
you have to use the timeline.
start your character with no morphs, and with her arms and legs in the outfit completley... at frame thirty, have her posed and morphed as you want her.
it has to fit to the figure, then 'stretch' over the morphs and pose to fit...
also, make sure you have the 'dynamic clothing' tab on so you can be sure it's colliding with V4

Well, that actually worked! But now I need to know how to edit fabric stretch resistance. All of the dynamic clothes in my Daz library have stretch resistance of 500 (high), and I'd like to turn that down to about 10, but I can't seem to edit these parameters.

unfortunatley (this is the part i HATE) you have to actually buy the advanced tab... i'm sure there must be a way in DS4 but... i just can't seem to find it... all my dynamic stuff has to be done on DS3 because that's where i bought the toolbar

looks good except for the odd crinkling/tearing of the dress a few seconds into the belly growth

other than it looking like she's vibrating on a frequency only the dress can feel XD

zededd In reply to ShadowOfDarkAndLite [2011-06-21 18:35:16 +0000 UTC]

it could be a night-dress? or she could have just removed it to perform some lewd activity that ended with her apparent situation
truth be told, i couldn't be arsed XD

Well, I'm sure they have all pointed it out to you already, but the dress behaves strangely

...still, very nice so far When are you doing the kicking animations? Merge!

zededd In reply to KayiRowling [2011-06-19 18:02:17 +0000 UTC]

so far, this takes precident because i need these to work for an overdue request. if i can get it to stop spazzing all the time, then it'll be fine

TheSciFiArtisan [2011-06-19 01:26:21 +0000 UTC]

the clothing looks a bit odd, like she's in a strong wind or something, but still a very cool effect. I do hope you'll get a lot of use out of this

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zededd In reply to TheSciFiArtisan [2011-06-19 07:30:03 +0000 UTC]

in stills it works fantastic i' just trying to stop the flapping on it :S

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheSciFiArtisan In reply to zededd [2011-06-19 15:39:39 +0000 UTC]

yeah, cuz the flapping is really the only negative point. the way the clothing rides up and even the little tear effects are really awesome.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zededd In reply to TheSciFiArtisan [2011-06-19 18:07:57 +0000 UTC]

the 'tear' is actually a rezzing issue :S

zededd In reply to emeraldthechao174 [2011-06-18 21:55:14 +0000 UTC]

when i can stop it spazzing so much on the little floating details, i'll be happy but these clothes will make AWESOME fits for stills

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

emeraldthechao174 In reply to zededd [2011-06-18 21:59:56 +0000 UTC]

Yeah it'll be alot better with still images. You could add emphasis to a growing-fast bump

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zededd In reply to emeraldthechao174 [2011-06-18 22:03:59 +0000 UTC]

yeah i can make it shrink to tightly fit her at all sizes

zededd In reply to emeraldthechao174 [2011-06-18 22:08:02 +0000 UTC]

i'm fizing about it i don't need to faff with Dformer parenting, i don't need to add individual morphs to each part and item... it does it all ITSELF!
wait... i realy shouldn't be enjoying the technical side of this so much....
