Description
Before creating the Adorababes andΒ that Sly Cooper piece , which use a similar style, I tried out the idea of painting the base colors, cel-shading, and lineart all on the same layer here.Basically, I love the look of cel-shading, but I love the process of painting. So there you go.

I love the style of cel-shading. Probably my favourite.

I've been trying to do some weird mix of cel shading and painting for a while. I've found it more enjoyable once you get a solid hang of it.
Btw both your links are redirecting to the front page for some reason.

Oh sweet! Glad to hear it - I much enjoy the style.
And thanks a bunch for the note about the links - amended. ;D

Not a problem XD , I reckon if you toyed a little more you could get the cell features to pop out that little bit more.
I think the style i love the most though has to be the one for your x-over series, It's such a comic art book style and blends so well, I hope someday to actually learn it / figure it out T^TΒ

Hey, pretty cool! I've tried that a bit, and it has a neat look! Takes some bravery to get rid of all those layers, though. XD

I know what you mean!I've tended to be cautious drawing traditionally, because I value Ctrl+z and Free Transform so much. But ironically, it seems that only my digital drawings require those tools. goo.gl/nqSDaA

Haha, I do so much digital that drawing on paper feels weird... But fun! When I first switched to digital, I would automatically brush my hand over the tablet whenever I erased something, just like I did on paper, to get rid of eraser fragments, even thought they weren't there. Now, when I draw on paper, I tend to move my hand to the non-existent Ctrl+Z when I make a bad line. XD It's interesting to see how our body is so programmable.

Haha! Oh man - that's hilarious. And yeah, I find playing just one hand on the piano leaves me confused, but introduce the other hand and suddenly my body remembers where to go.
