A new format is being adopted with new sprites from most classic Mega Man titles. Any pre-existing sprites have been modified.

The palette I use for all of my 8-bit sprites and pixel artwork isΒ here . It's unfortunately beyond my memory how I came upon this particular palette but I do know that this particular palette was used for all the graphical assets for Mega Man 9 and 10.

He's listed under the robot master category on the Mega Man Wikia, but his origins and exact classification is currently unknown. I think I included him in this group because of this and because I didn't think it was necessary to segregate him from the other characters here as he would be the only one not technically counted as a robot master.

While I'm not too fond of a few of these (mainly, Astro, Centaur, and Clown, who all are not quite colourful enough), most of these are pretty neato
I especially really really like Cut Man, Aqua Man, Duo, and Frost Man

My plan for Astro Man was to experiment with making a robot master with just one layer of colours, the version that the Rockman 8 Famicom project uses only has one layer of colour but instead of a nice yellow colour they just use white which contrasts really badly for the shade of green that was used. Centaur Man was an attempt to make the sprite with the same amount of layered sprites as the original Mega Man 6 sprite, I'm not entirely sure that additional colour would make the sprite any better, but I'll just have to experiment with bits and pieces in the future. Clown Man follows the same pattern that Centaur Man did, since Clown Man has such a colourful design it's hard to decided what colours to put onto his sprite, the key colours that stuck out to me were Purple and Yellow so those were the colours I went with.

Though, Centaur actually uses 3 different palettes in MM6. The regular "skin" one, the white-green one, and a white-orange one, whereas yours only uses 2

With Clown, I'm sure one could mess with the palettes a bit to fit almost all his colours on the 8-bit sprite (by doing things like not including black in some of the palettes), but yellow and purple was a good choice. Hey, it's what RM8FC does too!

Ahh yes I forgot that Centaur Man's breastplate is coloured yellow on his Mega Man 6 sprite, it's such a small minor detail amongst the lime green and white surrounding I guess I just overlooked it. As for Clown Man I think the reason why I decided to go with the Purple-Yellow colour scheme was that it would theoretically make him stand out against the background of his boss room, as the tiles of the room are largely green and turquoise.

I calculated Frost Man's size against Mega Man from Mega Man 8 and Frost Man's sprites from the same game and found that Frost Man was about 2.25 times as big as Mega Man himself, I simply applied the same method to the 8-bit sprite and went from there.

As far as I know this is the only Frost Man sprite that uses a rough correct scale instead of going against the Mega Man 10 sprite which was compressed in size to fit into the Weapons Archive screen.
