Description "So you made this... with your butt."

Cesil made Lishna a dress with her own silk.

Lishna finds that and the fact that Cesil expects her to wear a dress equally odd.

she probably wouldn't want to know where her armor or weapons come from, then.

brilliant.  and I like Cesil!
(both are excellently illustrated)

Especially the little ones, their cuteness reaches nuclear levels

Bet that would both feel very nice as well as provide a suprizing amount of strength considering a steel bar the same thickness as the strange is weaker then the spider silk.

but this is a dress, woven like fabric. it's durable yes but it's not anywhere near the thickness or rigidness of steel plate.

Silk is actually about the same tensile strength as steel, but its density is much lower (that's where the 1/5th comes in).  So its advantage would be in how it's lighter while providing the same strength.

Spiders can also weave 5-6 different kinds of silk from various glands inside their spinneret, which vary its stickiness, strength, and springiness. I'd imagine to weave something more useful for protection, they'd need to use lower sticky and springy amounts and higher strength threads.

Silk woven from a spider as big as her would be near impossible to say, slice with a dagger. Lighter and stronger. Regardless is one heck of a free deal. Plus would feel good on the scales/skin I'd imagine.

Hey, can YOU make clothes with your butt?

no, the question is can you make clothes anyone would want to wear, with your butt?

Spider's silk is incredibly strong. That dress could likely stop a bullet.

I can't tell if self woven clothes are disgusting or adorable, pretty much what Lishna said.

Making a dress with her own silk. Still neat.
