Would this be a good picture to practice drawing on?
I use to draw a long time ago, and I've been thinking of getting back into it.

...what do you mean a 'picture to practice drawing on'?

I didn't mean anything bad by that, I just wanted to get better at drawing.Β
I was just thinking that if I took pictures that I really like and drew them over and over again,
doing so would be a fun way to help me get better at stuff like lines, proportions, and depth.
I promise you I don't mean to do something nefarious with it.

I wasn't saying something nefarious, it seemed like you were implying something that'd be a weird approach to learning.
If you mean like referencing something, by all means go ahead. These 4 PSG images were all based off of references as well. You can reference literally anything you want. No one can stop you from using something as a reference.
If you were gonna trace, the issue with that is tracing becomes a more mechanical process. You'd learn much faster if you try to replicate an image via a side-by-side comparison, and learn how to judge distances/angles/proportions, etc. rather than tracing directly over. Tracing has the risk of becoming a mechanical action, and when that happens it's not teaching you anything. You can get the most mileage out of learning if you stick with referencing. (And there's many, MANY ways to reference.)

Yeah, I don't see the point in tracing.Β Actually, now that I think about it, I've only ever used references.Β
I just didn't know that was the term for it.Β My profile picture is actually a reference drawing that I did seven years ago.
Thank you for the advice, I'll see where I can go with this picture.

Reference everything and anything you can :Y Especially study from life.Β
One key note to make though--despite how stylized this image is, it's still referenced from a life picture:

Stylization is just how you interpret anatomy.Β Try to focus on how things are arranged and constructed, rather than just what they look like.

Taking pictures of naked chicks and then drawing naked chicks?

naked chicks are definitely an option :Y
you can do anything though. A lot of artists actually have tiny pose-able mannequins that they'll bend into poses and then draw a character based on that.
