I find the hips of the body to be very provocative, at least in more inspirational ways...
This one is very simple yet profoundly vivid!

I took this picture about 5 years ago... based on another photo I took 10 years ago. I can't help it if other people do the same thing. Get over it.

Stunning. The piece is beautiful and the model's figure is surreal! You do work with some truly gorgeous people.

I love the pic, it is so creamy and dreamy. But tell me, roughly how old is the model?

thanks for confirming that, I thought as much. Some bitchy people were saying it looked like a child or young teen and I protested that I did not agree (I suspect they were in fact jealous, since no longer so young and pretty themselves).

Bitchy and apparently dumb! Look at the hips... you ever see a girl or young teen girl with hips like that? LOL!!!

I'm sorry, I think I got locked from this post. Here is my reply to your latest reply in our discussion:
As you may know if you've looked at my profile, I am a religious Catholic, so obviously I wouldn't agree with your beliefs. But I can appreciate your views on modeling, and I agree with them.

Oh sorry, I hid my former post because it felt like I was slamming religion a bit too much and I try to avoid that.
Anyway, I don't often read people's profiles I just look for art or whatever, but I see now what you are talking about.
I come from a Mormon background, was raised essentially as an atheist, and then my father became evangelical while dealing with his alcoholism when I was a teenager. I have a close friend who is Orthodox, and the last church I attended was Greek Orthodox, so I am familiar with many of your beliefs (and not others).

That's ok, I understand, and I don't mind really. Orthodox beliefs are certainly very similar to those of Catholicism, with a few exceptions, which cause the distinction between us. You seem to have a very varied religious experience. I was also raised irreligious, and was an atheist before converting to Catholicism, so I can understand your position a bit.

If I may ask, what was the inspiration for the name of this beautiful photo?

It's what I feel whenever I am looking at this model through my lens...

It's part of my process. When I am in the room with a model, we are professionals - I treat the model as I would my mother, my sister, or my daughter - with a great deal of respect and indifference, especially when their clothes are off. I treat nudity much as a doctor would see it... just part of job. I am faithful to my wife, and quite honestly not tempted in my line of work (I know, it sounds implausible, but there it is) - especially since so many of the models I work with are pretty good chums.
This may sound strange: But when I look through the lens I see each model different, I portray their beauty differently. When I shoot nudes with this model, one of my favorites of all time - I tend to notice her hips a lot (among other things). She reminds me of a mermaid, and when she is moving around on my backdrop and her hips are moving, I can see her swimming deep in the ocean hence: "swim".

It's very refreshing to see a photographer of nude models who treats his work with such genuine artistic appreciation and dignity. I see so much sexuality and superficiality in nude modeling that it becomes more like porn or just a business than true art. So, thank you very much for elaborating your point, I very much enjoyed reading it.

NP.
I enjoy sensuality in art, however, I do not believe in sexual promiscuity in life. It simply causes too much damage. Fantasy is wonderful - addiction and fixation is an entirely different thing. It's the difference between enjoying a drink, and NEEDING a drink. Sex without love is only gratification, and I've never seen gratification do anything but damage the body and soul.

I agree. Again it's refreshing to see this sort of perspective, in a modeling photographer of a person in general.

Very beautiful geometry of the sensualism. When the curve of time puts a lot into the quintessence of the being.
