This little bump is already a 4 year old, articulate little boy (some might say loud, ha!)

Those who follow me know that Molly and I go way back... I met her when I was finishing my first novel and thinking of leaving photography behind. Over the last 7 years I've seen her through heartbreak, devastation, 3 different careers, a marriage, a child, we compiled over 45 photoshoots and 20,000 images of which 1,500 are edited so far.

We are close. Molly and her husband were there for us in a big way when my wife went through cancer.

This past year, they moved back to the east coast, and are off to Europe for a new opportunity. Now that they are gone it feels a little weird. One of my best friends moved away.

No photoshoots, no breakfasts or coffees talking over life or the next photo-shoot.

I am still searching for a muse to replace her... 5 girls have walked through my door, and none of them have panned out. It's going to be next to impossible to replace her.

We keep in touch by texting, but she complains that I am a lousy at texting - so we pick a day for a voice call and eat up 3 hours on the phone.

It will be years before I see her again. It's difficult.

But that is the cycle of life.
