Is the armor based on a reference or is it original?
And how did you learn to draw armor in general?

It's a design I was asked to come up with for the character. I remember seeing a lot of armored dress in anime like Fate Saber so the way the breastplate kinda stick. The dress design is based on my experience playing Granado Espada years ago where they go for the renaissance period style and it has been one of my foundation ever since.
And I learn having to draw armor by just being forced to draw it a lot that it now sticks. Used to need a lot of references early on but that I'm used to it, I just take note of how the joint should work or how each part should enable movement and let the design go from there. The breakfast rule is that if you are unable to eat breakfast while wearing that costume, it's wrong.
