Everyone was holding their breath in Neo’s penthouse. Neo had yet to find out about her plan’s failure so she was twiddling her hat (Roman’s former) with a cocky grin. The Dark Hood was dead meat, so she thought. Just then her secretary walked in with a clipboard and a disapproving look.

Secretary: Mam, the report has arrived on the status of the mission.

Neo sat up with anticipation and eagerly awaited the news as she put her chin on her hands and smiled.

Secretary: It seems mam...that the mission was a total failure. Three of the assassins were found and locked up, however the fourth… was found dead at the scene.

If you listened hard enough you could hear the glass of Neo’s pent up frustration shatter.

She calmly got up from her from her chair still holding her pleasant smile and walking up to one of her men as he towered over her due to her small stature. She smiled at him, which he politely returned. This turned out to be a mistake as she out of nowhere swung at him with her umbrella sending him flying sideways. The other men looked forward, fear in their eyes as Neo went down the line with cracks, whacks, and crunches. One poor soul had the audacity to ask her to be gentle. He was currently hunched over holding his “privates”. Eventually every guard in the room was on the floor holding something in pain.

Neo sighed angrily and walked to the window of her penthouse looking out at the city she worked so hard to control. The secretary stood behind her looking at the data again.

Secretary: Mistress, you really must take more caution. It appears that The Dark Hood is coming after you next.

Neo looked annoyed at the secretary, she would have socked her too if she wasn’t so damn good at paperwork. But then her secretary spoke up again.

Secretary: Mam...must I get your makeup.. As there is a bright red spot on your chest.

Neo looked down confused but slowly the dot moved up from her chest to her forehead. She followed the light as it lead to the top of a building right in front of hers. There was The Dark Hood, holding a rocket launcher that appeared to have a machine gun on the other side with blades jutting out. (Friend’s OC weapon. You’re welcome!) He playfully waved at her as to say “Hey there”

Neo internally muttered “Oh hell..”

She turned around and took off in the direction of her ladder escape in the building, her secretary and her men quickly following behind her.

(Y/N): Wow...for someone with short legs, she can really move when she wants to.

He then fired a rocket into the penthouse as it shattered glass and detonated on Neo’s meeting table. The room was ablaze as outside glass exploded. As Neo was running down, the force of the explosion propelled a door off it’s hinges heading right for Neo.

Henchman: Miss! Look out!

Neo barely dodged the sheet of flaming metal as it nearly cut her in half. Her secretary hurriedly caught up to her.

Secretary: Mam! Are you alright?

Neo gave a look that read “well i’m not dead”.

Secretary: Mam what are we going to do now?

Neo thought for a moment and sighed as there was really only one old friend she had that she could use. It was going to take a lot of bribing and a lot blood. She was going to see her old boss. CInder Fall.

(Timeskip at General Ironwood’s prison ship)

Well it took a few hours, but Neo had managed to pay off any witnesses on Ironwood’s ship while she arranged an audience with her old boss in her own cell. Cinder seemed pretty much the same since their last meeting. Still wearing her scarlet dress and her hair still seemed as luscious as ever. However something was off. Cinder was barely talking and was calmly eating a bag of chips. It was very unlike her as Cinder as she could remember was all about keeping that curvy body of hers. After about half an hour of trying to play the “old friend” card Neo got down to buisness.

Neo wrote on a piece of paper and pushed it towards Cinder who picked it up and read it.

“You probably know why I’ve arranged this little meeting. A certain man is giving me trouble, and I still believe that you can assist me. You have a way with getting what you want and I need that if you want to walk free...However just to make things clear I’m in charge now..you answer to me.

Cinder tossed the note aside after reading it and continued to stare at Neo with those emotionless eyes...wait...Cinder was a schemer her eyes always sparked with deception or at the very least seduction. Something was very wrong.

Cinder then proceeded to cough for a moment before looking at Neo once more.

Cinder: Neo darling, could you give me a glass of water.

Neo waved her hand and a henchman gave her a glass. CInder appeared to inspect the engravings before she made her move.

Smashing the glass against the table in the room and slitting a henchman’s throat while grabbing his gun. Before the rest of the men could react to the sudden attack Cinder fired at each of them effectively spraying blood on the wall behind them. She then took aim at Neo who by this time had reacted and had her umbrella blade pointing at Cinder’s neck. The two stared at each other Cinder having her classic seductive grin plastered on her face.

Cinder then lowered the weapon and Neo did as well.

Cinder: It’s been far too long Neapolitan, I’m hurt you didn’t at least send a card

Neo gave her a smile while her secretary looked like she was going to piss herself.

Cinder: I really must apologize for the mess..

She looks at the henchman who was still holding his throat and currently choking on his own blood. She swiftly fired a round into his head ending his suffering and spraying more crimson on the wall.

Cinder: Poor dear really was in so much pain.

Cinder said with fake guilt as Neo silently laughed. This is why she needed Cinder, she was cunning, ruthless, efficient, but looked damn good while doing it. Neo wrote on a note once again and handed it to her.

“It’s nice to see you too. Well now that we’ve caught up, now I need your help dealing with a pest. This man really is a threat to my buisness and I figured you would be perfect in helping me take care of this pest.

Cinder let out an honest chuckle and her seductive smile returned.

Cinder: You flatter me Neo, just leave it all to me.

Neo nodded and proceeded to get up as she and Cinder exited the cell. The two payed off guards looked nervous.

Cinder: It appears we have made a mess in there...

She places a hand on the guard’s chin and makes him look at her.

Cinder: Be a gentleman will you and take care of that will you?

She then walks away swaying her hips with Neo right behind her twirling her umbrella and Neo’s secretary jotting down notes

Cinder: It really has been too long…

(Timeskip to Beacon)

The girls were called to Ozpin’s office as their minds raced with the possibilities for this visit.

Yang: Well he could have heard about our encounters with (Y/N).

Weiss: well what gave that away? The thousands of dollars in property damage? Or the fact of how it’s all over the news?

Yang: Well when you put it like that…

Blake: Both of you stop. Clearly he knows, but we just don’t know how much.

Ruby: Blake is right, Ozpin has seen through our plans before.

Weiss: No thanks to your poor charismatic skills of course.

Ruby: Hey!

Yang: She’s kind of right ya know sis.

Ruby then pouts for the rest of the elevator ride. They reach their stop and get off as Ozpin sits in his chair, a serious look holding on his face.

Weiss: This can’t be good..

They walk forward and Ozpin sits up and doesn’t even bother to say hello.

Ozpin: You probably know why I have called you girls here. As it seems you have had a run in with Vale’s latest threat.

Ruby: Yeah...and we even were able to figure out who he was!

Yang: RUBY!

Weiss: What are you doing!?

Ruby: No! He needs to know so he can help!

She looks Ozpin dead in the eye.

Ruby: The Dark Hood’s identity is (F/N (L/N). The same student who was lost in the Battle of Beacon aftermath. Now that you know we ca-

Ozpin held up a hand and cut her off.

Ozpin: I am fully aware of Mr. (L/N)’s condition.

This shut her up as she looked wide eyed into her headmaster’s eyes. The rest of Team RWBY stared at the man. The first question was asked by Yang who was barely holding herself back from attacking out of pure rage.

Yang: What!? What do you mean you know!?

Blake stepped in front of Yang holding her arms out.

Blake: Yang, we’re all confused and angry. But you need to calm down!

Yang took deep breaths and her hair returned to it’s normal blonde color, but her eyes stayed a dark crimson color.

Weiss: Headmaster, with all due respect...You owe us answers NOW!

Ozpin stood up and walked to his window to stare outside at Vale.

Ozpin: You first must understand that I had the purest intentions when it came to the fate of Mr: (L/N)

Yang: What did you do!?

Ozpin turned to them, removed his glasses and sighed.

Ozpin: After the explosion, Glynda had brought me the body. He was to be buried as a hero who died defending Beacon.

Team RWBY listened intently, pulling up chairs to hear about the rest that happened that night.

Ozpin: After all students and civilians were evacuated, the rest of the Grimm were cleared out from the school. And reconstruction began immediately. The school was a mess, and the KIA count was constantly rising as more and more bodies were discovered...

All of a sudden Goodwitch walked in with Ironwood, taken back by the students in the room.

Goodwitch: Ozpin, what are the children doing here?

Ironwood: They must leave, right this second. We have urgent matters to attend to.

Blake: More secrets you want to keep from us general?

Everyone was taken back by Blake’s boldness, except for Ozpin.

Ozpin: James, they know about the “Lazarus” experiment.

Goodwitch held up a hand to suppress a gasp, Ironwood looked solemn as his gaze dropped to the floor.

Ironwood: Children...I am deeply sorry…

Ruby: What are you all talking about? What is the “Lazarus” experiment?

Neither Goodwitch or Ironwood spoke, Ozpin sighed and began speaking again.

Ozpin: We had lost so many students in the attack. And so many more left for good to their families to find a new way of living. We were losing the chance to fight back once again. We needed more Huntsmen. Thats where we thought we had achieved a breakthrough in the science of possible aura reanimation..

All of the girls looked between the adults, questioning if any of this was true. How could they when the answer was right under their noses?

Ironwood: We were desperate..stupid..We thought we could bring back all of your friends that were lost. You must understand that.

Weiss: But why (Y/N)? Why test this on him?

Goodwitch: Ms. Schnee, you of all should know that (Y/N)’s aura was special. He was also the one whom we needed. He was a gifted student, achieved top of the class and somehow managed to befriend anyone at Beacon. Even the troublesome team CRDL seemed to respect him.

Ironwood: He was going to be the symbol for why we should keep fighting. An inspiration, a image with which we could stand behind and fight alongside..we had intended this to work...we were desperate...but it all went so wrong…

Ozpin put his glasses back on as the general and the teacher moved to stand beside him.

Ozpin: Please be prepared for what you might hear, you may regret your decision if you aren't

Yang: wh-what happened?

Blake: Please...we need to know.

Ozpin sighed and took on a sad look.

Ozpin: The actual resurrection was a complete success. We were thrilled...but we were too late to notice what we had created.

Ironwood: (Y/N) Returned to this world, but he returned broken. He was an animal, a monster.

Goodwitch: It appeared that he died with anger, grief, hatred, and love in his heart. It all was built up and we released it. We still have no idea how or why he had become like that, but we didn’t have a chance to find out.

Ironwood: He broke free of his containment and proceeded to slaughter anyone who got in his way. So many men...all the blood… He made a break for the surface and before we could stop him, he jumped off the cliff near the ocean.

Ozpin: Mr. (L/N) was presumed dead and we never found his body. The experiment was scrapped and the rest of the fallen student body was buried properly. However It seems now I understand that we unleashed a great threat onto the world. Trained and no longer afraid to spill blood, (Y/N) must be stopped at all cost. Before he tears not only Vale and the rest of Remnant apart.

Team RWBY sat in silence. They knew what Ozpin was implying. They were to hunt (Y/N) down and lay him to rest once more. But something caught Ruby’s attention.

Ruby: Wait… you said that (Y/N) died with so many bad emotions in his heart. What about love?

Goodwitch stood in front of team RWBY with a painful look.

Upon further investigation..it appears that Mr.(L/N) was indeed...in love with one of you four..

They all looked at each other wide eyed and back to Ms. Goodwitch. Before they could say anything Ironwood got a call.

Ironwood: Yes?....WHAT!?...DAMN IT!

Ironwood throws his scroll to the ground in anger holding his head in frustration.

Goodwitch: James? What’s wrong?

Ironwood: Cinder Fall...has escaped...may Monty Oum help us...
