Yaes, drama! Is this a specific moment in the book? He still has his red tablecloth after all that time. Stole it off his mother's table.
Great job with the emotion shown on Ace's face! Their hair looks so soft too, like they never forget to bring conditioner when camping.
And your lighting is amazing as always. I know you were trying to hide the bg with the bright dawn light, but it looks really nice where it shines so brightly it's almost obscuring the edge outlines. There are some fun textures in the bg pinks too!

Yeah, it's an actual scene- except as you stated, they're not actually cleanly put-together like I depicted for the sake of the picture, and this takes place with an actual background of the ruins of Eideria that I didnt feel like drawing. I guess you could say the lack of background was intentional to show that nothing else mattered in the moment. Hahahaha I pretty much have a BS degree in art.
Lazy background is lazy. Luckily it also works haha
