Description Ok, so I've unintentionally come up with a theme/pattern. These paintings represent the innermost struggle of each of my characters, obviously some good and some bad haha.Β 

For Dysis, her staple is faith. Her key motivator is to be a vessel for divine will. However, she can't help but find herself angered by the pointless bloodshed of her people. The gods do as they wish with little regard to those who have fallen along the way. And so, her belief wavers when no one's looking.

Very impressive work you are doing; the themes may be simple in theory but the knowledge involved would make anyone think about it since each one is connected to something people either want/need willingly or not. No one wants to deal with an evil tyrantΒ - someone that has power but doesn't care about lives lost can't be trusted; if they don't watch out such a person will be left all alone with no one to care - kind of funny how a small detail can have major issues connected huh? Long story short no one is above the consequences and not even the gods or demons are exempt from this rule; besides if one of them cause enough trouble everyone will gather round to smack them down. That's drama though; it may be funny to watch but most people don't want to deal with the fallout.

Very true! It's hard to take such a massive concept and compress it into something simple.Β 

But the story itself wouldn't be as interesting (or connect with real-life themes) if it were simpler ;]
