Description
(Edit 2) Heres the tutorial/directions/template: [link]The Final Fantasy XI Online Red Mage artifact hat (not sure what the name is, since i dont play redmage... but the common name is: The Pimp Hat.
I'll probably post the pattern to make it soemtime, eventually, once i make it look all nice and pretty, with or without the fold lines.
This one is just a prototype (version 2, ver1 failed horribly into many red pieces that i didnt know which goes where).
^_^ and thanks to my FFXI cactaur and moogle plushies as the fashion models!
Edit: by the way, this is my FIRST papercraft, ever. (and my second attempt at making a papercraft template too!)

Turned out great, man. I made it with your template. Totally making it into a fabric hat. :] I was just looking for some kind of differnt style of hat. The one I use now is getting old. I wanted to try something different. I'm sure I'll just end up making it a little differently. The template was AMAZING, though the instructions were a little hard to follow. Perhaps it's because I was doing it all on white paper just to see if I could do it, so I didn't know which pieces touched (and, I'm not a papercrafter). If you could put up a picture of the back, it would be helpful too. OH AND FOR GOD'S SAKE.. XDDD PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT THE FACT THAT THE UR AND UL GO ON THE BOTTOM A LITTLE BIGGER~ I missed it somehow and was completely stumped. It took me two days to make this. I know it says "Under" but, I was so confused. I didn't know that the two pieces literally layed on top of each other. I definitely was like "Ragequit~" But, I was detirmined 'cause I just love this hat to pieces. I'm more than likely going to make it tomorrow, so if I have the chance, I'll post up a picture of it. Really, I appreciate the template! You're amazing for it! And, of course, I'll link your template when I do post up the picture.

Hey that turned out really cool! I'm just getting into paper 3d models myself. Do you use Pepakura or other software? I really want to super-size a 3d low poly model of mine. Lol, since you didn't actually fold the fold lines, the hat looks like it has several smooth groups applied to it under the Editable Poly Modifier...too much 3ds max for the Danny.
