Alright something completely different here XD
My best friend showed me a fan-animation of Warrior Cats (I guess it's only called 'Warriors' in English) and it is amazing! So many talented people worked on it and it looked stunning. Somehow I really wanted to try animation myself
And as you can see I did XD And I have to say it's really hard work and requires a lot of patience and details. Originally I wanted to animate Wolf-Link, but turns out I'm not that good with wolves that move their head XD So I tried this one instead. It's far from perfect and still flows unsteady after hours of work (for a 4 second animation that is ) . I guess it'll get better the more practice you have, but this was my first time trying soo yeah I really hold so much respect for people who can animate like they are working for Disney ;DEDIT I had some people comment about it and it really bothered me that Link looks kind of mad at the end, so I took the time to redraw the last frame and added a little to it. I hope I could capture the emotion right this time
Sorry to interrupt the current comic again, but just couldn't resist trying this

I also think he feels like he failed 100 years ago, and without proper memory of it I guess it's even harder to overcome...

Yea, I totally get that. Like how Zelda felt like a failure because she "couldn't harness her power". (Let's not go there. I have thoughts about that.)
Yea, Maria's a nice person but she has ADD and RSD so she suffers alot. However, I think in Hyrule it would be less since things like that aren't known. I have art commissioned of her. ^_^ It's on my dA.

Animationen sind eine menge Arbeit, dass "musste" ich selber auch schon in Erfahrung bringen. Dein Test hier sieht wirklich großartig aus. Willst du es irgendwann auch noch in Farbe machen?

Hm... gute Frage, vielleicht, aber ich glaube dafür müsste ich es nochmal komplett überarbeiten. Dafür habe ich ja Wolf-Link as Versuchskanninchen für Farbe gehabt

Ich hätte das auch gerne in der Berufschule behandelt. Wir hatten ein paar Einheiten zu Videoschnitt und mussten auch ein Video drehen und schneiden, aber das hat natürlich nicht ganz so viel mit dem gezeicheneten Animieren zu tun

This is absolutely amazing!
I didn't see the first version but this certainly shows Link's emotion in here. I can see it bothers him that he was put to face all that hell alone while Zelda only held Ganon back instead of finishing things off. Watching the short animation, I feel like Link's gonna cry soon. 
But, considering the conversation you put up for the duo.... I can understand Link's inquiry and the feelings. I would wonder that too but.... I think there were few things that affected the situation back then.... And this is simply my own theory but.....
Well, first off, it's clear Zelda loved and still loves Link and so he was first she'd save. And that put her to face Ganon to keep the Calamity from finding and killing Link for full. And even though she's, in a way (Hylia), the creator of Master Sword, she doesn't have Link's ability to wield a sword and hence fighting against a big boss without any of practice before.... Yeah, no luck there for her.
Anyways, really loving this short animation of yours! 
And, as always, take your time and don't rush.

Well, what can I say?
I'm pretty sure her feelings affected her decision ( I mean without him she would have never found the power within her
But yeah, I thought it's only natural to have doubts for Link here. Plus, I like to show him more vulnerable than the all mighty hero without flaws
Aaaand I needed a short phrase to animate
I'll get back to the wolf animation someday ^^ Maybe I should start with something easier, running or jumping instead of turning heads and mouths

I like to see Link more vulnerable and I can see him wondering and doubting things like this. Though, poor guy.

Animieren ist so schwer 
Mein erster Gedanke war ja, dass Zelda etwas passiert ist und Link dann eher wütend "why me" fragt, bevor er sich auf wen-auch-immer stürzt und ihn zu Kleinholz verarbeitet.
Dann habe ich deine Interpretation gelesen und finde die auch nicht schlecht, aber Link guckt am Ende fast etwas zu böse bzw. schon fast wahnsinnig (im Englischen würde das Wort "mad" gut passen).
Das ist jetzt aber meine eigene Interpretation

Es hat mich dann allerdings so sehr gestört, dass das Ende etwas verkorkst war, dass ich mich nochmal hingesetzt und den Schluss nochmal überarbeitet habe. Ich hoffe es ist jetzt etwas besser

Hmm....es ist ein bisschen besser. Ich glaube das Problem ist eher, dass er gegen Ende so böse guckt. Lass ihn etwas trauriger gucken, dann sollte das noch besser helfen. Außerdem sind die Iriden so klein. Etwas größer, dann wirkt er nicht so "mad".

I really looks like he is mad at her -.- But that's because of my bad animation skills XD It really bothered me, because I did not want him to look accusing or anything like that rather that him having self doubts here. I did redraw the last part now, so I hope I could give it a change of mood

Its quite alright. I got to thinking about it, I figure he asks because either 1: she needed him to stay alive so that he could yank it from Calamity Ganon when he was powerful enough to do it. Or 2: She genuinely fell in love with him, and wanted him to survive. I figure its both those reasons.
