Now I'm starting to get to my newer and more recent AMAlice-artworks, this one is from 2020.

This is, sort of, my first Alice Asylum fanartwork. This dress, called "Denial" I wanted to draw on adult Alice (she's not 13 years old here), to express just this emotion, denial.
There was a point in my life when I felt that it was easier to go with a "happy-face"(although, come to think of it, this is a defence-mechanism I've been using occassionly since school when times gets rough), and I'm sure this is something many of us can relate to. Sometimes it's easier to pretend everything is allright, I guess. Especially when some things goes out of our control in life.
Also note the texts written on the looking glass, the "happy" one is written in the shrink-sense crayons when the gloomy/truth text is written in blood.

I think this dress is very powerful cause it shows both sides, the denial and truth. The denial; with those symbols, "Endless Love", and then the sad truth; the burned backside of the dress with the writing in blood on the petticoat,"It's your fault" over and over again.
This dress says so much, and it also speaks about one the steps in grieving process which is denial, and then also adds in the guilt as well. I really hope this dress gets featured in the still-in-creation AMAlice-game Alice: Asylum.
