Perhaps the title (for once a very satisfying title), speaks for this artwork perfectly.I beleive you have at least felt this at times in your life. I have several times in my life lately.
When you feel hopeless and only taste hopelessness in the air. There feels like there is indeed no guiding light and you feel forever lost in the empty darkness and mist. Indeed, when there is no hope everything both feels and is dark indeed.
This artwork is also an kinda old sketch I did of Oot Zelda, plus one of those times when I didn't have artblocks and were still avaible to express some in art. I thought that this was too god to be left and so I decided to color it.
With this artwork, I wished to capture the feel of hpelessness. How dark but blank and misty it really feels. And fr me it also feels like a cold winter with no light or warmth anywhere in sight.
I own nothing in this artwork as it is a Fanart, I only drew it and digitally painted it in Photoshop CS5.

YeahI'll be sure to. I've also learned to not rush artworks cause then it won't get the best results it could have.
But nowadays I have a bigger problem and that is that I am dealing with a constant artblock.

I think you captured the feeling in your artwork very well. It's also nice to see an actual expression on Zelda's face for once; usually she is portrayed as far too bland. I hope my comments cheer you up a little, however.

Even tough I don't really agree with you about Zelda's facial expressions in the actual games cause in the later games and also in Oot she actually has, but at the same time I am very glad that I seem to have succeeded with her expression here and to fit with the feeling. Feeling hopeless is indeed... HOPELESS and that was a thing I wished to express and portray here and I might do more in the future because the original sketch is old tough. But thank you so much for your comment, it did indeed cheer me up.

Yeah, I already felt that... -_- Today for instance. Rainy and cold day that just says "Remember the winter that ended 4 months ago? Well, it's coming back!"

Ohhhh, tell me about it. Rain and dark days, especially cold ones and winter ones makes me really sad plus that it feels even more hopeless. And indeed, I do reale hopelessness to winter, cold, darkness etc.

Lol, not in my life. In my life such things has allways been easier said than done for me.
And I agree with you, there is nothing to lose by traveling to a realk warm and sunny place in this cold and dark winter. I'd do the same If I had the chance. And indeed, I am also expecting my depression to become even worse when the winter along with its icing cold and darkness comes. The only good solution I can think up now is music and to lit alot of lights and lamps. At least one good thing with winter is that Christmas is at that time too, then it'll be more lights than candles and all.

Couldn't agree more. I love Mother Earth and all life and would hate it to end. But the end of this civilisation, this society, this mad mad and stressful way of living would be so wonderful indeed.
All I want and beg for is a world full of piece, love, freedom and happiness. But such things cannot be achieved in this life, at least not in this mad and stressful way of living.

I guess if they knew the interrest they have in changing our world altogether, they'd do it. But they're so manipulated by their parents, education, journalists,...
Also the livestyle most people have don't leave them with much energy, time and motivation to think or change things. The world is tireness, boredom and poor health...
I'm not fighting that much to stay alive. I'm fighting to change this world, and always looking for ways to have a better lifestyle that makes me stronger and closer to my nature.

Also this world and society today is truly unhealhty for both body and soul. It's all a falling apart road to true decay. Dark times indeed.
Here in Sweden, times can be very dark in the winter. The summer is easier to at least keep your head at the surface. I also LOVE the nature and I'm so happy for it.
