Orihime stared at her warden in apprension. Ulquiorra had been her friend for over ten years - since even before he had brought her back with him to Los Noches when she was six. He had always been somewhat of an enigma to her.

At first she had thought he had been nothing but a cold, heartless robot; but even after she had learned what hollows and Arrancar were, he was still surprising her with different aspects of his personality.

She was sure now that he had heart, even if it had taken years for her to see it.

"What are you saying?" She asked in a choked voice. Ulquiorra stared at her blankly, something she had learned was a front and defense mechanism when he was forced to do something that he did not agree with.

"What is so hard for you to comprehend? I'm sending you back to the human world." His words were both nonchalant and somehow cold.

Orihime felt her knees start to buckle and slowly sank herself onto the near bye couch.

"But what about our friendship? You don't want me anymore?" She asked in an anguish whisper. This couldn't be happening. Ulquiorra was the very first friend that she had ever had. Although he never said it - and went great lengths to try and prove the opposite - she knew he cared about her. Where the humans that were her own kind failed to accept her because of her strange powers and abilities, Ulquiorra had provided her friendship and care without a second thought.

The nagging thought that there was an ulterior motive as Loly had suggested was pushed back into the far recesses of her mind.

"But why?" She asked and watched as Ulquiorra came closer to her. Reaching down, his hand came within inches of her hair before he suddenly dropped it.

"It's not a matter of want. It's a matter of safety. You continue to insist that I am your friend - and if that is true - then it would be on your best interest if I returned you to the human world."

Shaking her head, Orihime moved frantically away from the couch, trying to out as much distance between them as possible.

"Please, don't do this. I want to stay here... with you." She begged.

Her words seemed to frustrated the Fourth, as his tone suddenly became much harsher.

"Things are not the way they were before. You are no longer a child." Orihime felt herself flush as his eyes scanned her profile briefly. It made her very self conscious... and yet somehow pleased.

"Do not think that I am the only one who has noticed. Nnoitra would be very eager to take a woman of your stature and make you his own. Lord Aizen too has taken an interest in your maturity. Your spiritual awareness and abilities have grown considerably die to your proximity to the Hogyoku. It will not be long now before he makes you swear loyalty to him. A war with the shinigami is on the horizon. Your safety cannot be guaranteed."

Orihime stared at him speechless. She hadn't heard him speak so many words at once since she had snuck into Grimmjow's tower when she was ten.

Her surprise quickly turned to anger when she thought over his words.

"You can't pass me off to someone else like I'm some sort of problem!" She shouted, outraged. Ulquiorra stared at her through a thin veil if indifference. His anger was barely kept in check. If she had been anyone else, she would have already been dead for speaking to him in such a crass manner; but then she was the only one who was able to bring out such strong emotions on him.

"If you are worried for your future, then put it from your mind. I have secured a large fund of human currency and territory for you to reside in." He told her in a flat voice.

Orihime felt her own anger boil over. One, two, three steps - it was all it took for her to reach him. She knew he saw it coming, but did nothing to avoid her as she raised her hand and then slapped him.

"I know you know there is a way to keep me here." She told him, overcome and breathless with emotion. Ulquiorra's turned his face away from her.

"You spoke of needing protection, but you have protected me all these years and I have been fine." She argued.

Ulquiorra turned completely away from her.

"It is not enough. You have no idea - you a lowly human who does not belong in this hostile world cannot comprehend - how much it would cost you for such protection. The price is too high for you to pay." He told her coldly.

Orihime reached out desperately to him.

"Wait please, Ulquiorra! There has to be someway. I'll do whatever it takes so that I can stay with you. You are my friend." When her hand touched his shoulder, he whirled on her angrily and shoved her. Orihime fell to the floor, but quickly found her feet.

"I am not your friend! I have never been or ever will be your friend. Friendship will not not save you." He sneered. Orihime was surprised at the malice in his voice. It was very unusual if him.

"Then what will?" She asked, making her voice just as intimidated and harsh as his. She felt him recoil slightly even as his face remained expressionless.

"Ulquiorra whatever it is, I am not afraid." She promised.

"No, you're never afraid. THAT is the problem, Orihime Inoue." It had been some time since he had called her by her whole name. Still, she sensed his hesitancy.

"Ulquiorra whatever it is, please, I will do it." She told him. She reached out and took his hand hesitantly. He did not respond to her grip and his hand hung unresponsive in hers.

"Whatever the cost - I will pay." She felt his hand tighten suddenly and she fought the urge to cry out as his grip very nearly crushed her hand. His eyes flashed.

"You stupid, foolish woman." He told her harshly letting go if her hand, he took hold of her jaw instead. Orihime stared at him, paralyzed. He was suddenly so close to her and she didn't know what to do. Could he hear her heart beat? It was pounding so frantically in ears that she thought she would go deaf.

Was Lolly right after all? Was she only there to entertain him so that one day he eat or fu-

"I want everything." He told her, his breath across her lips and then he was kissing her. She had never been kissed before. The sensation was beyond anything that she could describe, barely able to keep up with his fast pace.

His lips were insistent and heated against his own. He kissed her heatedly and without reserve. She felt his anger and frustration and tasted what he could not communicate in words,

His hands were ever where: caressing her arms, ghosting through her hair, pushing at her breasts, gripping her waist and pulling her closer by the back of her neck. Orihime moaned when his chest brushed against hers.

Then his tongue was in her mouth, exploring everything that she had to offer. It wasn't long before he coaxed her own tongue into a dance for dominance.

Orihime felt her knees begin to buckle. She had no idea that he had been guiding her to the couch until she fell back into it once more.

Pulling away, they both panted heavily. Orihime could tell by the burning in his eyes that he was doing jus best to control himself. He was looking at her the way a starving man looked at a feast.

"They told me I was just here for your pleasure. Something to play with and then eat." She told him breathless. Orihime knew what she wanted out of this, but she wanted to be sure of Ulquiorra's motives before she consented.

The Espada in question narrowed his eyes.

"Then they know nothing." He told her coldly before quickly unzipping his jacket. Orihime's eyes widened.

"Now do you understand the price you must pay?" He asked her darkly.

"Your innocence, your future - your very humanity will all be forfeit." He added, watching her reactions closely as he completely removed his jacket.

Orihime stared at him openly, a thick warmth slowly settling into the lower region of her stomach. She had seen him shirtless many times in the past, but this time it was different. The meaning was different; special even.

"You forgot the most important thing." She told him softly. He looked at her sharply.

"My heart... My heart will be yours. It is already yours, actually." She added, somewhat self consciously. She felt his reitsu flicker wildly. Then his lips were upon hers once more as he knelt over her small form on the couch.

"You can never walk away from this." He told her against his lips. Orihime watched as his tear marks darkened on his face and the half formed helmet on his head grew to encompass both sides of his skull.

"Why would I ever want to leave you?" She asked. His fingers grew dark and blackened as they slipped through her clothes and undid her jacket.

"You will be slave to Lord Aizen just as I am." He warned. She smiled against his kisses and shirked out of her coat. Orihime saw a flash of his wings before her eyes closed at the sensation if his lips traveling down her neck. His reitsu continued to increase.

"We can find our freedom together." She moaned. She felt Ulquiorra settle her onto his lap where she straddled him. Her dress rode up her waist and she was surprised at the sensation of fur rubbing against her inner thighs. The warmth in her belly spread and she wiggled slightly at the moisture she felt at the Alex of her thighs.

Opening her eyes, Orihime looked into Ulquiorra's dark sclera and golden eyes. She was mindful of the long horns that protruded out of his head.

Ulquiorra's second release made him a prized gem in Aizen's army and she knew that once her Shun Shun Rika was discovered, she too would be recruited into that very same army. He was worth it though. Her thoughts were disrupted when she felt his tail wind itself possessively around her body.

"I am a monster." He told her dispassionately. Orihime took one of his now clawed hands and placed it over her heart.

"I'm not afraid of you." She promised. Her words were barely out if her mouth before he kissed her again. Gasping, she broke away from the kiss when she felt him grind against her.

"Then you understand." He told her. Orihime moaned deeply when she felt one of his hands slide under her dress where he caressed her soft skin insistently.

Placing a hand on his shoulder, she panted heavily as his hand languidly traveled from her calf up to her knee. Ulquiorra watched intently. When his hand reached her inner thigh, she could not help but lace her fingers through his hair.

"Ulquiorra," She pleaded and threw her head back. The Fourth took the initiative and kissed her neck softly as his finger found their destination.

"You belong only to me."
