I wasn't gonna post this, but it's the only thing I've "finished" in a while so I thought it'd be good to post somethin'! I was originally just scribbling out her face but ended up doing a full body thing. Since I didn't plan on doing that, her hands ended up behind her back because I just wasn't paying attention to them lol. But!! There's a really poorly drawn scribbly hand to show what her gloves look like! Her old ref was old and I have a hard time looking at my old art so I felt it was time to update her ref!

I'm reworking her character, because for awhile I've been at a loss for Jae's character. I kinda ended up building a story for her that I felt really didn't do her justice and honestly it just didn't fit. I still don't have a totally cohesive story for her, but the gist is that she's actually a thief!! (Which is ironic because originally I wrote her as a cop but that was dumb of me lol) She's actually more of a thief for hire, and manages to make a decent amount of money stealing for people! Surprisingly, a lot of people want stuff stolen but they don't exactly want to get their hands dirty, so they send in this lady! She doesn't really feel bad since a lot of her heists are from scummy rich people. Besides, they have enough money not to be totally devastated by this so she figures what's the harm in taking some of their stuff?

I've got a good drawing set up rn! I have a desk to work at and I finally got a new cord for my tablet so it actually works! Originally I had bought an iPad for school/drawing but tbh I don't really enjoy drawing on the iPad much. Something about my tablet just feels much more natural to me. I'm trying to be braver about what I post. I've always been a perfectionist and it resulted in me not wanting to draw or post stuff because it was never "good enough". So, I'm just trying to enjoy drawing and posting whatever I want cause in the end, it doesn't really matter! I don't need to impress people, I just wanna have fun and I've gotten a lot more confident in myself. Also, I've found that procrastinating on my homework is one of my primary drives for working on art right now. Please help, they're making me write the essays and I'm too cute for that :c

Tbh, I think I need one of you guys to just like... beat me with a newspaper while yelling "WHERE'S THE ART ZELLY? WHERE'S YOUR MOTHERHECKING ART??" Boy if I won't whip myself into shape and start drawing more because of sheer intimidation!

Forgive the boobs, I tried to make my Irkens boobless like they canonically are but I feel like they add something to her body type forgib me umu
