It is incredibly heartbreaking, but you did an awesome job with this picture.
I'm probably going to be the odd one out because I didn't start actively shipping these two until I saw TROS. From watching the first two movies, I had a feeling that these two would become a couple, and I saw great potential in their dynamic, but it didn't grab me for some reason. To put it another way, I liked what it would do for the story, but I wasn't emotionally invested in a personal way as people tend to be with an OTP. This movie has changed that.
What finally got me was Palpatine tells Kylo Ren (Ben) that if he joins him, he would accomplish what Vader couldn't, which we initially assume meant ruling the galaxy. This is intended to be a lie, but in the end, Ben does accomplish what Vader couldn't, which was saving the woman he loved. I'm not 100% sure if Disney intended to do that (most likely they did), but as someone who has seen all the movies and has been in this fandom off and on since childhood, that realization hit me hard. It all has come full circle, and the fact that this isn't expressed in a heavy-handed way makes it that much better.Β Add onto this their Force-bond, Ben's redemption arc, and those last few moments of them being happy together right before Ben passes away, and now I'm sold.
That said, I agree that the sequel trilogy has a lot of serious flaws, and there are plenty of ways I would've written the movies differently. I think Disney mostly failed by not planning the trilogy ahead of time, and there was a lot of potential for character development that was wasted.

I JUST SAW THIS IN THEATERS TODAY AND I CAN'T EVEN. Like, they tied up loose ends...kinda? I had some questions at the end still.
LIKE, I KNOW THAT I KNOW, BUT I WANTED TO HEAR WHAT FINN WANTED TO TELL REY. I KNOW WHAT IT WAS, BUT I WANTED TO HEAR IT COME OUT OF HIS MOUTH. freaking love Finn, man. Can't handle that guy. HE GOT ATTRACTIVE, AND SO DID KYLO. I was just sitting there, watching the movie between my parents with this smile on my face and I was like "they're gonna look over at me and be like, 'wtf you smiling about?' and I'll just sit here silently thinking 'those are some hot men.'"
P.S. I knew the end was coming, but it still was just like "NOOOOOO. HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO MY POOR LITTLE HEART I CAN'T"

Yes that's what I hope too. Deep down I felt like Ben may not survived but not like this. At least they should gave him time to say goodbye to Rey or show more how Ben was after he turned to force ghost.Β

Let's hope they'll bring him back ;o; This ending was just not right. Well let say I'm ok if Ben died but just show more of Rey's emotion about it or even give them time to say goodbye. He followed her all over the galaxy just not to feel alone, it took 30 years for him to be happy and when she accepted his hand he just had only 3 seconds? That's tooΒ ridiculous.Β
The idea ofΒ World Between Worlds is our hope T-T I saw many parallelΒ fan fiction of them too. They totally heal me.

I feel you totally ;0; Let say the movie ended just after they kissed and the rest of that was the fiction. I feel ridiculous too when he disappear just like that and no scene for Rey to missed him or talked about him to others, or even saw him as a force ghost. That's too cruel. JJ made Rey completely forgot about him. She came back to her new family, surrounded by people but when Ben saved her he was so desperate and alone. He deserved much more.Β
