This is very helpful! But i just dont understand one thing: what is the reason for setting the lineart on multiply?
Anyway, thank you!

A Multiply layer kinda drops/merges/blends its colors down to the layer under it.
Normally my lines are never only Black or one solid color.Β In the tutorial's step 3: I kinda recolored the lines by duplicated the corlorful Overlay layer and set it to Normal.Β

So setting the Lineart to Multiply helps the lines not too separated from the colors. It smoothens the pictures and makes it look more natural.

I hope this answers your question.

I have a question! One of the reasons why I take so long in getting a piece done is because of coloring. I've seen artist who do something and when they fill in the character with color it never bleeds out of the lines. Is that what happens when you do step two?

Yes.
We can either make a base and use Clipping Layers above; or we can Lock Opacity the layer and paint right on it. But a base is a must.

Ever since watching you draw Xuan Long (first time I ever made it to one of your livestreams) I was blown away by your process because it actually made a lot of sense and was easy to follow. Thank you, truly thank you for making this tutorial I feel like I want to try it this weekend see if I can come up with something.Β

Thank you :>
I did a nice black & white shading of some pokemon trainers a few months back but when it came to colouring I pretty much failed converting it so just coloured as normal ugh πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0
