thank you And yeah, I plan to get a bridle soon that matches his saddle. I found one with some blue beading that would match his eyes that I am saving for And yeah, I have never been much of a fan of Arabs, but they sure are smaller than the Quarters these days!!

Yes I know! It's crazy how small people are breeding quarter horses nowadays! I like paints, though. Im looking to buy either a quarter horse, a paint, or a quarter/thouroughbred cross. Chestnut paints have always been one of my favorites though C: I've grown up with arabs, always had atleast one arab or an arab cross lol.

I wanted a bay paint, but Hidalgo came pretty close And I wante dthe blue eyes too. And I liek calmer quieter horses, so a thoroughbred cross wouldnt work out well for me haha! But I know people who like those types, so more power to you

Yeah the place I keep Hidalgo is a barrel racing stable, and I enjoy watching them. But spunky ponies arent for me haha. Lots of respect for dealing with them haha

Haha yeah hes pretty sharp. He likes going slow though. I have enough trouble getting him to trot, let alone race. I hope to train him how to jump someday, or reining or something. He would be a good hunter under saddle.

Shes beautiful Is she hard to keep clean..? I know Hidalgo I have trouble with since a lot of him is white.

Oh yes it is very hard to keep her clean. Esspecially her tail. Her tail has never been all white. Im thinking about bleaching it this summer lol. She gets very dark gold in the summer time so its easier to keep her clean in the summer, save her tail. Horses with white tails are a paint. Sometimes I forget she has one white sock too coz I can hardly ever see it. Lol

Haha ikr? Idk how I am gonna get him clean enough for showing next year. Idk if I want to show next year. He is very young still so it might freak him out no matter how calm he is most of the time.

Yeah but it would be good for him even to just show him in halter or showmanship a few times If you plan on showing him in the future it would be best to atleast trailer him to a show site and ride him around the site possibly. To start getting him used to it.

Ooh I see I have finally got my barrel mare to do a western jog today. She has such a nice jog. She doesn't lope very slow lol, she has a fast lope.

She just turned 8 But I broke her myself, and she never had a saddle on her back until she was 6 which was when I got her.

Awh thanks I got her because the people that owned her said they couldn't handle her because aparently she was crazy lol. And I had a saddle on her and was on her back within 3 days of me owning her lol C: I have taken in a couple 'crazy' horses and trained them and stuff. It's fun and makes me feel good <3

Awww thats awesome. If you can come to Iowa and take care of a few 'crazies' here that I used to work with, Im sure my former mentor would appreciate it xD His gelding tried to kill the professional trainer who worked with him. Then My mentor wanted to put me on his back. Thats when he became my FORMER mentor.

Yes you can I have ridden both types for years, and let me tell you, English is a LOT easier tack-wise than Western. For one the Western saddle is like fifty pounds and very hard to get on a 16hh horse lol but yes, you can adjust them.
