In the final battle of Critical Role's second campaign, the villain Lucien traveled to the astral sea where he was pursued by the Might Nein. Cognoza, a ward from a fallen Mageacracy from an earlier time, had jetison itself as a clandestine effort to save itself from the city's destruction. It is in this corrupted ward that Lucien is reborn with the powers of the nine eyes.
