Description
Imperius is the Archangel of Valor, and one of the angels of the Angiris Council in Diablo 3.

I've been asked by a lot of Diablo fans to draw him, and I have finally got a preview. Obviously it is not colored, and this is about 12.5% of the full size of the image (so it will definitely be printable in the size of a movie poster when it's finished).

Since many people have wanted to see it, I decided to release the image before it is colored.

The inspiration was from Brom's work for his Tyrael concept art. It's a fairly powerful image, so I wanted this piece to be complementary. I was originally going to add his weapon into the picture, but couldn't decide on an orientation that worked well. Perhaps it'll make its way into the final version of the art.

The final image will be submitted to my other, new deviantart account by the username Nyzaris.

EDITS: Lots of edits. I've readjusted proportions, smoothed shadows, and added detail. I'll be making more as I assess how the base is before beginning the paint over.
EDIT 2: More updating.
EDIT 3: More fixes! Arm is now correct, etc.
EDIT 4: Revisited this piece for Reddit - better shadows, some cleanup. Probably a few more small updates along the way (Also removed Imperius text)

MAJOR Update: I created a new deviation but decided to just update this one. Enjoy! Painting to come next.
