apparently, my characters have a habit of losing their horses at XD

Assignment I

since Vachir is used to venturing out into the wilderness, he may have adapted the habit of only tying his horses with knots that could potentially be pulled open in emergencies. which is great in the dangerous terrain of mountains. not so much in crowded places. wupsies.
Vachir wandered off, fascinated by seeing so many horses of colours and breeds he'd never seen before - especially captivated by that horse wearing an eyepatch! until. he heard an all-too-familiar neigh.
Dubai had used his newly acquired freedom to explore as well and had his first encounter with a mule. wtf was this horse even with such strange ears?? but before he knew it, somebody already had him. and he was returned to his two-legged. BORING.
In his usual awkward-self Vachir wasn't even sure how to respond to such courtesy. A simple thank-you was not going to be enough! How embarrassing though. Wasn't he supposed to be one of the rather experienced ones around here? he knew he wasn't very good at socialising in the first place (despite various failed attempts) but this almost seemed like a new low xD then again, he reminded himself that perhaps he should be grateful for that rather unusual icebreaker
